Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

  • Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously

  • Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side

  • Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop

  • HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)

  • Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)

  • Download this google chrome extension so once you manually sync the videos up, the extension will keep both videos synced up when you play/pause, move around in the video, etc (can also pick up where you left off if you close the windows.) Also supports videos that need to be slowed down/sped up, so you can choose the correct speed in the extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/video-sync/npplmbdcndipnaemaoljdppjodakaicn?authuser=0&hl=en&pli=1

DRIP DROP

Oh no two weeks of andor in a row? Got scammed big time 😉

Josh Gibson

ok this time I am going to wait to enjoy this on the weekend.. i think

Brody Reeks

So damn awesome you guys are watching Andor. For moments like this ! Much love as always guys

Garrett Serbin

Thanks for 2 weeks in a row!! This arc is some of the best T.V. in the last decade

Wes

These last Andor episodes spoiled me so much, it raised my Star Wars standards. I fear no future SW related project will come close to it in my lifetime. 😮‍💨

david p

Peak peak Andor 😩😤

Elora D. Dragneel

UGH this show is so good. I remember when the spin-off show about the guy who died in Rogue One was just announced and the internet was constantly dragging it in the mud. The moment this masterpiece came out they shut their mouths quick. More proof the internet has no idea what it wants and original stories with good writing can still prevail in the end. Love your post eps discussion, great reaction as always :D

Jason Jannis

Very cool, thanks for all your work, guys! Are you going to watch another Star Wars series after Andor?

Biberius Caldius Mero

Wow, Pudgey even recognised Melshi! (The guy from the prison arc.) That's honestly really impressive, barely any reactor recognises him. Nice reaction to the best tv show of this decade! The bellhop from the hotel is at the Ghorman Front meeting in episode 7, he's part of the rebellion. That's why he helps Andor and why he has a bomb ready to go. Obviously he's wearing different clothes in the meeting, so it's hard to recognise him. If you want to see more of Mon Mothma's escape to Yavin and her second speech, it is in one of the animated Star Wars series that came out before this show. Andor cleverly wrote around that, and of course Andor has the better speech. Mon's assistant appears in that episode as well.

Syril is a tragic character. He attached himself to an evil and authoritarian regime and only realised when it's too late. I love that the last thing he hears is "Who are you?". He's been completely obsessed with Cassian and Cassian hadn't even spared him a thought since their encounter in S1E3. He also starts questioning who he is at the core when he's asked that by Cassian.

Stéphanie Autexier

Hy guys keep up the good work ! Glad you enjoyed the perfect writing on this second and final season. I agree it’s impressive how everything fits perfectly into place. And if you were still doubting how much details are taken into account, try to understand why Vel looks specifically @ this gun and asks who it belonged to. She recognized cassian’s gun (from Aldhani’s heist yes ) so @ least she knows Melshi is connected to Cassian but if you really think about it … Cassian got this gun from Cyril when escaping Ferrix the first time season 1 episode 3 !!!!! 💣 🔁 their first and only meeting before their final and lethal one on season 2 !!!! So gooood ! And tragic … but nicely done Mr Gilroy !! 👏 🤩 Personally I chose to interpret Cyril perplexed gaze after the infamous “who are you?” To the sad realization that even his own personal enemy, THE one he can blame for how his life turned out, did not even know who he was : a simple meaningless cog in the imperial machine. He will remain an unknown pawn only mourned by his mother who believed his martyr son was killed by the savage ghormans as the imperial media keeps airing their propaganda … hum sad tragic and yet unfortunately relatable ? … Agreed, Cassian and Cyril are tragic characters beautifully written and developed … but not the only ones … 3 more to go. Cant wait ! Have a good one :)! I really hope you revisit Rogue One after that as well !

Michael

Man, this show hits so hard. It seems like cheating that we know Cassian’s fate but it makes everything so much more impactful. I cry every time I watch these episodes and remember what it builds to. I can’t wait for the final episodes. Amazing reaction!

Ricky

Rewarching made me tear up even more than the first time. Just understanding better and appreciating better the Ghorman Storyline, Mothma's speech, Bix leaving. It's just peak storytelling.

Alpha

Syril's mom knew he died. She had some neighbours/friends comforting her as she watched the news cast. She also had consumed the Ghorman propaganda, was sharing anti-Ghorman narratives and actually had Syril saying "you've been watching too much Imperial news", a play on "you've been watching too much Fox News" (or Skynews in your case).

Joseph Olson

Syril was beginning to lower his weapon when he got blasted. This was a very powerful arc. The last two episodes were incredible. In my opinion the best episode of the series is still to come.

BigTim86

Amazing reaction; at the end of the Ghorman massacre the radio broadcast always destroys me. This last arc is perfection; Andor is a truly a work of art. A love letter to Star Wars fans. Best thing Disney did for Star Wars was Andors story.

Skitzobunny

The showrunner Tony Gilroy is a phenomenal writer/director. His next movie Behemoth with Pedro Pascal looks amazing.

Biberius Caldius Mero

By the way, Luthen and Kleya know that something is wrong with Bail's extraction team from Lonni Jung, their undercover ISB supervisor. The ISB people in episode 9 mention that the woman is Jung's agent. So Lonni must have warned Luthen and Kleya that he has infiltrated Bail's team for the ISB.

Jason Jannis

I can't wait! I'm sure you'll really enjoy The Mandalorian as well. Objectively speaking, The Mandalorian is the best Star Wars live-action series after Andor. However, be warned: the series will also reference other shows, including The Clone Wars.

Louis Marti

Thinking Syril was about to switch sides is a fundamental misunderstanding of his character

Joshua Taylor

And hired someone he knew was incompetent ;)

Christopher

I definitely urge you both to watch Rogue One on your own time after finishing Andor. It will definitely elevate that movie from great to a completely different level. Can’t wait for the final episodes, some of my favorite moments.

Josh Gibson

I actually hate that they had to write around Rebels. This is a superior written show than Rebels. I feel like we were robbed of seeing the moment of Mon Mothma arriving at Yavin in Andor because of that. They should have just ignored Filoni’s shows and written it how they wanted

Bill B.

“Quietly perfect” - that’s such a great way to describe this show!!!!!

Bill B.

He’s the very definition of the “useful idiot”. Brilliantly written character!

Giraldo Alberteris

If that is the case keep in mind there will be many plot points that may seem confusing to you guys since the mandalorian and other live action shows related were built with the context given from the animated shows like clone wars and rebels.

Biberius Caldius Mero

I don't disagree but I don't think it matters much either. If I remember correctly (I'm really not sure), you don't see Mon Mothma arriving on Yavin in Rebels? So perhaps they could have put that in Andor if they wanted to or have her meet Vel or something like that. I think after the rescue mission, episode 9 is mostly concerned with Bix leaving Cassian and then bringing in K2.

Farbod

They will probably be doing another reaction to it. A lot of channels do this.

Corbyndallas

Once you guys finish Andor the next one you need to watch is Obi-Wan Kenobi...also a great Star Wars written show!!! :)

Reuben Filimaua

If there's anything that Rogue One and Andor has successfully done, its made the Empire a genuine terrifying force of evil while also humanizing them. In the original trilogy they were just "the bad guys." But to give them credit, even within the simplicity of good and evil and the more family friendly tone, they still felt like a military force with a chain of command and competency.. mostly. The First Order in the sequel trilogy tho were barely a functioning organization 😂 But anyway yeeah the humanization of the Empire in Andor just makes them even more terrifying and disgusting. Because even if both the movies and Andor convey their competency.. in Andor we see every facet of what it means to be part of the Empire. We see their personal lives and motivations, and most of the time its just a job to most of them. Sure you're gonna have the fair share of powerhungry psychopaths wanting to climb the corporate or political ladder.. but majority of them are just office workers, low level soldiers and middle managers just trying to earn a living. We can relate to Deedra dealing with petty rivalries with co-workers , the bullshit bureaucracy of the higher ups and not having your efforts appreciated by middle management. You can also understand Syril's desire to prove himself because of a shit mom and a genuine sense of justice. Which is what makes it extra messed up seeing them treat human lives as just another nucance to sweep under the rug before higher ups find out and they get in trouble. The SS Nazi inspirations for the Empire are STRONGLY felt in Andor. Because I'm pretty sure even within the German military and Nazi SS soldiers at the time, they either were "just doing their job" or were completely in the dark about the massacres. But enough about that.. Deedra is an excellent villain. She cared for Syril. We also saw her struggles to prove herself in an oppressive work environment making us sympathise but also hate her too. Make no mistake.. she always knew from the very beginning how this was going to end and she didn't bat an eye. The group meeting with Krennic in Episode 1 makes this clear. They all knew what the implications of what that meeting was about: how are we going to take this important mineral (by force if need be) that most likely will destroy the planet, and successfully spin a narrative that justifies our actions making us look like not the bad guys. This was always how it was going to end. Ghorman was always going to be wiped out. Deedra knew that, and went with it anyway. Not because she actually cared about the people or that she was uncomfortable with it. But because it interferred with what she actually wanted which was to find Luthen and gain the promotions and rewards from it. It had nothing to do with having a conscience. Her only conscience in this event was caring about Syril. That was it. Why she broke down this episode was more likely hearing the news of Syril's death. But also because seeing the massacre of a city in front of you is completely different from planning it in a comfy office on a totally different planet far away, and discussing the statistics and data of the aftermath on a screen with coworkers.

If you wanna see Saw Guerrera in a more active role, you should check out the animated shows. Forrest Whitaker even voices him in Rebels.

Austin

I don't think he would have switched sides per se but I think in that moment in the plaza he finally grasped that he was on the wrong side.
