Another great reaction and discussion! The statute staring thing is never really explained but I think since Roku is the previous avatar, Aang feels more of a connection to him like Spartan said. And just so you know, the water tribe is based on the Inuit people; eskimo is an outdated term

I'm enjoying these Avatar reactions more than I thought I would. I've tried watching this show twice before but never even got to the end of season 1 - I always lost interest before (not a big anime fan). I'm hoping this time with you guys I'll get past season 1, because I've also heard that it gets really really good and I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy it. Anyway, I liked the reaction and I'll keep watching. Keep it up 🙂

it gets absolutely jaw dropping in the second season, i think the target audience for the first season was like 10 and under but as the seasons came out the demographic aged and its the only show ive ever like truly grown with
