Idk if I'd get banned for saying this but the guy who saved Sansa was the last of his family (House Hollard) he only survived so long due to Ser Barriston asking for him to be spared after their family helped another family kidnap Danerys Father.

Yesssssssss. Seasons 1-3 were appetizers. The next few seasons are the main course!!

This falls under the flavor lore exception. I also just want to note for any newcomers: We do not ban people willy nilly. Depending on the severity of the spoiler, we try to give people the benefit of the doubt and ask that they remove it (we obviously can't do this on youtube very often just due to the sheer number of comments we'd have to check up on). If its too severe we will just remove it ourselves (or warn S&P to avoid the comment altogether in Patreons case). 2. You have to violate the rules blatantly and purposefully a number of times before more severe action is taken. We want to be fair, transparent, and communicative about expectations and situations. Our top priority is to ensure the blind reactions and authenticity of S&P's experience but you have to REALLY try get such a severe result. If this happens to anyone, they and everyone else can correctly assume it will have been justified several times over. We want to encourage open discussion and communication with the reactors, as this is something a lot of communities don't do and S&P love their community and interaction with it is a high priority of them. So we do our best to balance things so that they can remain unaffected while still continuing this, as opposed to having them not read comments like so many other reactors. For those that want to discuss spoiler material (book, show, game, whatever) with the rest of the community without S&P, we have the show specific Discord channels for that. Cheers =)

The Jaime/Cersei scene always grosses me out. Not only is it incest sex between brother and sister, but its in a church, and not just in a church, its next to the dead body of their son....cant really get more f***ed up than that.

Munir

Tywin is such a beast, while he's acting like he's teaching Tommen he's really manipulating him to believe he should always listen to Tywin's command . I think Cersei realized it too, as she probably dealt with that growing up. And Tywin's reasons to Oberyn as to why they should be allies sound pretty persuasive. Instead of Jeor, I just call him Commander Mormont lol.

Julie

Dany's Valyrian makes me want to speak Valyrian! I also enjoy how Daemon in HOTD speaks it. Can't lie hearing you two say Jeor right is also great haha. Another great reaction! Jon/Dany is great in this, but MVP of ep goes to Pod, we love a loyal squire <3 Lastly you're not summer children anymore but I must say Spartan's heart has hardened so much, he's such a cynic its kind of hilarious. Team Spartan this ep for sure

********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* SPECIAL MODERATOR NOTICE ON THIS EPISODE ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Do NOT reveal or hint about who may have killed Joffrey. Let them work this out on their own without assistance. This is part of the BLIND REACTION. This has not been revealed in the show. Let them have their own suspicions and theories, just like you all were able to. It's part of the enjoyment and experience. This can be discussed by you guys once we have reached that point in the show. We will be deleting any such spoilers on Youtube and Discord and we will be warning them to not read any comments by those who leave them here on Patreon and asking those who do to remove them. Thank you!!

Louis Melendez

I remember when this episode came out. The Jamie/Cersei scene was very controversial. A lot of people were pissed off about it. Not sure why that scene even necessary to the story.

Cs Zoltan

The dornishman really does know how to fight. They even killed one of Aegon's sister-wife, Rhaenys (not to confuse her with Rhaenys from HotD), and her dragon Meraxes.

neutchain

Gonna be honest here. You guys quickly become my favorite reactors because you clearly not just binging through content for the click but genuinely get invested in stories and characters and have very thoughtful discussions about it that I kinda enjoy more than the reaction itself sometimes. The banter between the two of you is absolutely hilarious and really entertaining. Also, I must mention that Pudgey scares the living shit out of me. She is clearly a very gentle and caring soul no doubt about that but this girl often sees extremely subtle stuff coming from miles away iits pure witchcraft. Good luck for Spartan keeping any secret hidden from here lol. :) Really enjoy your stuff guys, keep it coming!

Franky E

It was actually mentioned/hinted at in the Season 3 lore that Podrick and Ilyn were related, I forgot exactly what they said though. I had no idea all this time either, until they mentioned it in the lore video.

Locke

and yeah pudgey is usually on point but spartan carried this episode

IBRAHIM ALJABOR

I just love the funny feud you have about who called it first 🤣 😄

Banchy Howells

Danny getting stuff done. We love to see it. Her story from season 1 to now has been great seeing her evolve into an actual leader you can get behind and the last scene just reinforces that.

cstarklady
>>101665852

People were really pissed off because the scene was consensual in the books. I knew Jaime fans who stopped watching after that scene.

cstarklady

Well done to both of you on your speculations about who was involved in Joffery’s death!

Mysterion Amalgium

Spartan, my dude, how can you be so mad that Joffrey died?

Diana Gero

Spartan, I'm really disappointed that you didn't high five or give Pudgey her just due in coming up with solving that the necklace was involved in Geoffrey's assassination. That was actually harder to figure out IMHO than that the biggest snake in the series might have a hand in it, TBH! Made you look bad, dude.

JonYellowSnow

Fun fact, the actor who plays Tommen also played one of the kid cousins that got killed by Lord Karstark in Robb's camp

D.C.

We’re on a roll now. I love it guys

Rey Jr
>>101672269

Made you look bad“. Yeah you are definitely a snowflake. It is just friendly banter. And he literally gave her a high-five seconds later lmao

Zeek
>>101672903

Thank you for confirming that I was just imagining that lol

Rey Jr

I liked how Tywin gave no shit about Joffrey being dead. He just gave Tommen a lesson besides his dead body with Cersei watching it

Thomas Van Dyke

I just want to touch on the Jaime/C?ersei scene. Jaime is one of the most interesting characters in this series and in the books and he's one of my favorites because of it. I know the scene seemed odd and it did come across that way a bit but what I think the show runners were trying to portray was how conflicted and angry Jamie was in that moment. He loves Cersei more than anyone on earth and always has. When he's with her, he does everything he can for her. His main goal when he was captured was to find a way back to her. That's all he cared about. When he finally got back after everything he went through she rejected him and treated him horribly. She was only affectionate with him when she wanted him to kill their brother who Jamie genuinely loves and cares for. I think in that moment he both hated himself for the person he is when he's with Cersei and hated her for this hold she has on him. It boiled over into anger and frustration because no matter what she does he can't get past his deep love for her and it's ruining him.

HDN

I reckon you've see it more clearly while editing the episode, in Jaime's scene with Cersei, they were kissing and she kinda laid eyes on his amputated hand and sort of pulled back from the kiss as if she was disgusted. That's why Jaime said "You're a hateful woman, why have the gods made me love a hateful woman".

Rey Jr
>>101677876

It still would be rape. I think the showrunners could have made that scene way better like in the books.

cstarklady
>>101670891

I get it. I wanted to see one person that he wronged get to see that death and rejoice in it.

S.
>>101678358

I think also her blind hate for Tyrion contributed to that line.

Jenny Tolls

I just wanna speak on Spartan for being so upset that Tyrion got blamed and said something like the writing was weak or asked if that scene was in the books. You gotta understand that everyone was at a party enjoying themselves so they were not paying attention to Tyrion's hands. The last thing they saw was Joffrey publicly humiliating his Uncle and then dying from the very drink his Uncle gave him. And you also have to keep in mind that Tywin and Cersei have been dying to get rid of Tyrion and now they finally have a "reason." Cersei does believe Tyrion did it but Tywin doesn't care, he just wants to get rid of Tyrion.

Joseph

I think we need to remind ourselves that Jaime is not a good person. This show began with him trying to kill a 10 year old boy by pushing him out of a window....and then he basically raped his sister.

Munir
>>101687599

Sure, but this show isn't just good and bad people. I've always been more drawn to the morally grey characters, feels more realistic.

fritz

To Spartan's comment about Jon's vs Rob's decisions. GOT did a very good but sublte job to compare them. The both started to have a love interest at about the same time. The both technically kind of broke an oath to be with them, while in reality Jon mainly broke it to not be found out and fullfil his mission to infiltrate the Wildlings. So far Jon chose duty and honor over love.

fritz

Not sure if you remember from your comment, but not only was Janos Slynt the leader of the city watch that Tyrion sent to the wall. He was also the guy that was bought by Cersei and gave the order to kill Ned's men in the throne room, while Ned thought he would be on his side.

Marcell

Fyi, in Westeros funerals they put like rocks with painted eyes over the eyes of the individual who died. You also saw it in the first episode at the funeral of Jon Arryn, the hand of the king.

Jermaine Lee

I know it's waaaaay too early but after GOT or maybe at somepoint later you might consider reacting to Haunting of Hill House.

Jermaine Lee

Spartan I got you brotha, you nailed the Little Finger assumption 😆. It's crazy that I didn't realize I cared about Pod until this episode 😞

SuddenImpulse
>>101687062

There have also been a lot of public or semi-public situations where Tyrion and Joffrey have been fueding and where Tyrion has made quite blatant veiled threats or mockery of the king. Tyrions wedding, the small council moment, etc. Then you layer on Tyrions threat to Cersei and her issues with him outside of that and naturally she was convinced it was his doing.

Anna J

Woooow you guys are going fast with episodes this week AND IM LIVING FOR IT! Thank you so much for putting in so much time and effort ❤️

Daryl

Pudgy was so stoked that Joffre is dead 😂😂

Ghostcat

Jon's got his furs back, go time baby! How can you not love Jon Snow.

Libby
>>101710548

I would love that. It's an epic masterpiece, and it doesn't even matter that it is in the horror genre it's just one of the best stories I've ever seen put together on screen.

Nana-Afia
>>101708946

Yup, part of the faith of the 7 customs. I believe they mean something to the likes of: they open our eyes for the journey to what's next. Or something like that

kelly

Just wanna say that I look forward to yalls reactions every week. It's been a really fun time watching you both enjoy this experience so much and the insight you both have is really cool because I know a lot of non book readers didn't catch some of the stuff you all have until second watches or more! Keep it up, you're both doing so well and also it's crystal clear you guys have a dynamic with one another and there's no need to further explain or defend it. I felt the same way when I watched the first couple of reactions but the more I watched you, the less weird it seemed. Spartan has his way. Pudgey has her way. And Pudgey doesn't strike me as the type to keep her mouth shut if he makes her upset or uncomfortable folks so everybody just chill and mind the business that pays you 😌

spartanandpudgey

Thanks Kelly! Our dynamic works for us and we have lots of fun. Appreciate the kind words. Glad you're enjoying it as much as we are

Plinko Zoinks

The Jaime/Cersei thing is not in the books and is kind of a weird write-in by the show-runners. Most people just sort of mentally void that scene.

Tiffany Lemke

Pudgy I just have to say your hair looks amazing!

Tiffany Lemke

I also love how spartan understands the reasons why people do things aside from the emotional parts. You both are great together because you show two different views of things.
