The situation with Bolin is meant to be more practical comic relief, at least that’s how I saw it. It’s so-so, I wouldn’t take it too seriously. I loved the moment with Tenzin and Aang, it is beautiful but also a bit weird knowing that’s Aang and how serious he is when he speaks to Tenzin. I wonder if that’s a peak into how Aang treated Tenzin, very stern and serious because the fate of the airbenders really was on his shoulders. Beautiful music this episode as well

**SPOILER RULES**: Please keep all information to the episodes they have watched. Please allow S&P the same opportunity you all had to enjoy this experience the same way you all were able to. *You can talk about anything within reason but please:* 1. No character/character arc spoilers 2. No future event/episode hints or spoilers 3. No cheeky hints/semi-vague remarks about spoiler material, future episodes etc. they can be figured out. 4. No spoilers that are outside of the flavor lore exceptions rule. 5. Minimal setting of expectations for specific seasons or episodes of content, especially negative. Too much of this can alter the way they naturally receive and interpret the content. *Flavor Lore Exceptions:* Anything that is NOT explained by future episodes, but helps provide understanding or context for the episode is fine. An example being how Aang tends to fight defensively due to his air bender background, or why he is a vegetarian. !!ATLA+LoK Discussion Discord Channel!!: **We have a ATLA+LoK discussion channel on the Discord! If you want to discuss the reactions or the show in general with others in the community, spoiler discussion is ALLOWED there IF you use spoiler tags for content they haven't seen. We must maintain BLIND reactions and opinions for the Legend of Korra content, just as we did with ATLA. That is what people are paying and watching these for. We are well aware of the heavy debate about these two shows. Please keep the ATLA vs TLOK debate and controversies to our community LoK discord channel AND ONLY THAT CHANNEL. We want those paying for Korra reactions to have an enjoyable time within the community and throughout this experience, and not have to sift through a bunch of hostile and aggressive debating or attacking the show. It just ruins the vibe and the fun, and if enough of it occurs it can also color S&P's reactions and cause them to be less natural, the very thing we are here for. Thank you!

WELCOME TO THE FOG OF LOST SOULS!

Yup, no consequences at all :) Agree that Korra would probably retain her water bending. Worth noting that Avatar Unaloq was only using water bending, so he doesn't have all four. I do find Unaloqs motives a bit opaque, maybe he thought it worthwhile to return the spirits? Tenzin was top tier though, great character growth and a MVP father and father figure.

Steven

i think will retain her 4 elemental bending - reason is that the lion turtle said no human has ever possessed more than 1 element and that they will only give them the energy if raava holds the other(s). i think it was more of a trust between the lion turtle and the spirits, not that the humans were incapable of holding multiple elements, just that they didn't want to give them the energy for multiple. i think the avatar's human side is reincarnated with the energy of all the elements as its not longer being held by raava and the avatars spiritual side is the avatar state/power boost/connection to the past lives where as the bending is just internal energy. which is why unnalok still only bends water because vaatu isn't holding any elements to give to him

Just so yall are tracking aang breathed fire as well not just iroh and ozai and most likely sozin could too.

SuddenImpulse

Korra breathed fire before this. You even commented on it. In season 1 when she was "kidnapped" and put in the back of that truck, she breathed fire at him right before he closed the doors. Azula and Aang as well.

Yep all true. While its a really cool move (and keeping in context we are focusing on some generally pretty skilled benders) it doesn't seem like a particularly rare fire bending ability. I think its moreso that there are not a lot of combat situations where it would be that useful vs something else.
