Here we go. The race to the finale has begun. Back when this originally aired, we had to wait almost a year until S5 Ep9 premiered.

Idk if anyone told you this yet when you posted the full length before, but this was technically a "season finale". Season 5 was split up into two halfs with a year break inbetween (and also shot seperately, so really it's two seperate seasons). So we all had to wait a whole year and speculate what would happen after seeing Hank find out! Now get ready for the last 8 episodes, easily the most thrilling part of the whole show. You are not ready! :D

When I first saw this episode, I struggled to understand how Hank would realize that Walt was Heisenberg just based on that book's presence there. Logically it didn't make sense to me. It was only after some time that it slowly made sense: intuition doesn't have to be logical or deductive. Something may be a crazy idea and you may not be able to trace exactly how you arrived at it but once it snaps into place, suddenly everything becomes crystal clear.

True Detective season 1 and Breaking Bad split 5th season last 8 episodes are the best TV seasons ever. The Wire gets honorable mention.
