Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

  • Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously
  • Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side
  • Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop
  • HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)
  • Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)
  • Use Google chromes picture in picture mode to overlay your own copy of the show over our reaction in a smaller window size (Link to the extension here: ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en )

We hope you enjoy the video!

Been waiting for this but alas, a few more hours of work must come first 😭

ynnk99

idk what it is but somehow the syncing is very off this time. Would appreciate it if you guys could write where you watch it. I'm watching on prime currently but somehow my version is always a bit faster so every minute I have to pause my version to let you catch up...

Rasmus

BB today?

we watched it on Netflix! that is very weird... we dont know why there's syncing issues again. so annoying when they do this between countries

Farbod

Been wanting this for a while. Thank you!!!!! I loved the prequel. It's not as good as the first couple films, but its still very good. Def worth watching. While I would have recommended watching it first, I think there are pros and cons doing it first, so its not a big deal. Def watch it tho.

Hans Engelen

Thanks, a welcome change of movie choice.

Chris Mullen

Oh my gosh I didn't expect this today! So excited, I absolutely love these movies! I love Jennifer Lawrence but it's always kinda weird to me because she acts and looks so much like my sister haha, my sister even gets told that quite a bit. Especially when these movies were first coming out. Anyway can't wait to watch :)

Golladan

At least Katniss didn't have to kill Rue herself.

Golladan

It seems you missed it, but Haymitch is actually also from District 12. He was a victor from District 12.

Antonio stark

Pudgey hit the nail on the head again! The farther the districts the poorer they are! and the winner of the game is given a reward of riches (they said this when they were being reaped in that video they all watched)

Farbod

Just FYI, Donald Sutherland (President Snow) was neither of the Dumbledore actors, nor was he Marcus Aurelius in Gladiator. The actor you are thinking of was Richard Harris, who is no longer with us. Donald Sutherland is alive and also a legend of Hollywood as he he has been a brilliant actor for over 60 years.

Megan Burland

love the reaction as always! with these movies as you brought up its very important to pay attention to the real world parallels and commentary that these movies make. also haymitch is from katnisses district. he won the hunger games when he was selected and after he won was made a mentor every year.

Rosemary

OMG YAYYYYYYYY

Ailene Evangelista

Such a good movie, always emotionally impactful even though I’ve seen it so many times. Catching Fire is even better, I can’t wait for you guys to see it! Edited to add, love your discussion at the end. Y’all always have the best insights and actually pay attention to the story and characters, which I love. You’re already picking up on a lot of important things for the future movies.

Ailene Evangelista

The prequel is definitely worth watching too. After the original 4 though.

Nate Terry

LOL. Donald Sutherland as President Snow is not the actor who plays Dumbledore...neither old nor new Dumbledore. But, the actor who played Caesar in Gladiator did play the first Dumbledore... This whole Hunger Games is all political Caesar Flickerman (the tv host) is played by Stanley Tucci who is one of my favorite actors...he played in Captain America as the inventor of the super soldier serum. Not sure you guys picked up on it, but Haymitch is from District 12. He was a previous champion of the games and was now a mentor for new tributes.

kkoe

They recognized so many actors but not woody harrelson lol I forgot how good these movies are, I was crying right alongside you at rue's death pudgey 😭

Lyn Hurst

Same here - crying over Rue's death. So young. I love Woody Harrelson in this movie - he reminds me of Saul if Saul drank a lot :) Elizabeth Banks is funny as well (she plays Effie). Love the dramedy with her, and she is so in La La Land in thinking it is ok for children to kill each other. The main cast is stellar. Jennifer Lawrence, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland. It is scary how they can manipulate the environment to do what they want it to to give an advantage or disadvantage to some of the do i dare say "contestants." Like a horror movie game show.

Rosemary

I love you guys for this!!!!! Also Pudgey looking STUNNING I love that top and Spartan handsome as always <3

Nathan Jasper, the Artist Formerly Known as Primary

Gale's name is in 42 times because of repeated disobedience... caught stealing, talking back to a Peacekeeper, etc etc. Any excuse they can find to add your name in the bowl, they'll do it. So yes, one for every year but one for every disobedient act too. Oh! and something else to think about - Mentors are people who've previously won the Hunger Games. So not only is Haymitch dealing with his own PTSD, he has to tell people how to survive and, before Katniss, no one from District 12 had SINCE Haymitch. So he's lost a lot of people over the years.

Adam Ramirez

Very much looking forward to you guys watching this franchise! It's awesome! I think each movie is better than the previous so keep them coming!

Katerina Bumbaris

Just checking, were there not subtitles on this time? Not sure if something is wrong with how the video is playing for me, or if the video just didn't have captions this time

Lex Thornton

Haymitch is from district 12! He was also a victor, which is why he drinks so much now. Takes a toll doing the games then being forced to mentor other children who are gonna go through what you did and usually, never survive.

alysa riebe

Great reaction you guys!! Also to note the 3 finger salute is used in district 12 to honor the dead/saying goodbye to love ones :(( also gale is not katniss’s boyfriend he’s a friend/hunting partner she’s known since they were kids when her father passed so they are close since they help keep each other’s family’s alive. Also fun fact peeta is actually pointing at Catos hand at the end signaling katniss to shoot there!

Hugh S

Are you watching the whole hunger games series? when will hunger games 2 be out?

Lily
>>127968587

No, his name is in there so many times because he keeps taking tesserae to feed his large family.

Lily

When a tribute wins, they are rewarded with a house in what's known as "Victor's Village" with their family, as well as all their material needs taken care of for the rest of their lives. Their district is also granted food and other rewards for that year - So with the "career tributes" (D1, D2, & D4) training all their lives and winning almost every year, you can see why they're so strong and their districts are better off compared to others... And so the cycle continues. They win because they're fed and trained, and they can train because they don't have to spend their lives focused on survival. They see the games as an honour, where volunteering is competitive and normal. And yes, the system where children trade their names in more times for food is partially meant to encourage the adults to keep having children. The poor have to take out what they can to survive, which even then might not be enough, resorting them to take illegal measures (like Katniss hunting in the woods and trading at the black market). The relatively well off people in District 12, like Peeta's family, have never had to put their name in more times. This is designed to keep the districts divided and make social disparities between the classes even bigger.

William Abbott

Can I ask where someone can find the uncut version?

Stefan43

Can’t wait for you reaction on Interstellar, an emotional masterpiece

JonSnow21

Fun fact , when Haymitch won his hunger games , it was a quarter quell which means a special games soo there were 48 people in his games and he won…Also catching fire the sequel to this movie is way better than this one and this one is really good soo be excited for that…

Did they mention that they were going to do that movie sometime? I might've missed it if so

kelly
>>127980433

It'll probably be around the same time next week. When they did the Harry Potter films, they did one a week if I'm not mistaken.

calum1

The new prequel is a must watch, its part of the series

Riolkin

I'm glad you guys liked this movie, it'll be fun to see the rest with you. I'll probably hold off watching the prequel until you guys are caught up, it'll be cool to see something with you guys I haven't watched before.

David

Is there going to be a reaction & review version coming out on patron or is it out and I just didn't see it?

Emily Rose

You guys have some of the best reactions you’re very engaged. Excited to see the rest of the series with you

Kristy Ranic

Yessss I've been waiting for this reaction 🙏 I love how engaged you both are, it's such an amazing movie. Can't wait for the other rest of the series

Toan Toan

One of my favorite series. Glad to be joining the journey with you guys. Edit: FOR RUE!!!

Tom

Any other people got problems with synchronising? I start the reaction video on my iPad and the actual movie on my TV (HBO Europe) at the exact same time but after a few minutes the movies is further ahead than the reaction video. I even started the reaction video a few seconds earlier but even then after a few minutes the movie ‘catches up’. I do not have this problem with other reaction videos/movies.

Nick Thousan

Sync issue is frustrating, hope it's just this one.
