Better Than Friday - 257 (Patreon)

Good evening everyone, how goes?

Posted an early-access review of Stephen Gregory's 'The Cormorant' if you haven't caught it yet.

Thank you so much for your continued support and hope you have a great weekend.

1. An Indescribable Book to read: Cyclonopedia by Reza Negarestani (Paid Link)

A blend of horror and philosophical theory by the Iranian philosopher Reza Negarestani.

One hell of a description on that one...

2. J.R.R. Tolkien discussing the single topic at the heart of all large stories: Death

Quite the statement. He goes on to quote Simone de Beauvoir.

Many thanks to Seneca who sent me the clip.

3. Tokyo! by Leos Carax

The bizarre short of a sewer-dwelling terror unleashed on Tokyo which eventually became the feature film "Holy Motors".

Love the Godzilla music.

Thanks to my friend Sky for reminding me of it.

4. The Sex Pistols at the Longhorn Ballroom in Dallas, TX 1976

The notorious show where Sid starts bleeding - and could care less.

Iconic performance.

5. My Sun - By the Spirits

Polish Neofolk. Loved this track when it came on Spotify the other day.

Turned out the musician was already following me on instagram.

I was thrilled.
