Howdy ya'll, writing from Destin, FL (Cold!) - Road-weary but back in the Sunshine State. It has been quite a journey.

Hope all is well with you, have a grand Friday.

Thank you so much for your continued support.

1. Macabre book I picked up today - Flesh and Blood: A History of the Cannibal Complex by Reay Tannahill (Paid Link)

An exploration of cannibalism as it has manifested in various cultures throughout the eras.

Found this at Andrew's Book Sack, a nice used bookstore tucked away in Slidell Lousiana. Andrew, the owner, recognized me - A real gentleman.

In retrospect, I'm wondering if he noticed the book I had in hand...

I recommend stopping by if you're in the region.

2. Tipitín by Gregorio Barrios

This has been stuck in my head the entire trip.

3. True Facts: How Snakes Move

Wild as hell. Snakes are outrageously cool.

Love Ze Frank.

4. Preservation Hall - A Short Documentary

A documentary on the legendary Jazz venue Preservation Hall in New Orleans, featuring none other than Louis Armstrong.

We went there to see Marc Braud and his band. I recommend it!

Here's Marc Braud explaining New Orleans Polyphony.

5. The New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum

A small but fantastic museum in the French Quarter dedicated to Voodoo.

I'm coming back again.
