Good evening ya'll, hope things are well in your neck of the woods.

Working on the next Sexual Personae installment. Our floor is finally getting torn up and fixed. Don't have access to my usual office for a while. Thanks for your patience.

Have a great weekend, hope you're staying warm.

Thank you so much for your continued support.

1. Book recommended to me - Rejection by Toni Tulathimutte (Paid Link)

Recommended to me by friend and patron Charles - Thanks man!It appears to be a story of dark reckonings for characters in the Millenial and Gen Z generations. I'm interested.

2. The Conehead Mantis

Baphomet as an insect.

Found on instagram via @realratedred

3. Jamais Vu

Today my wife told me about Jamais Vu, the opposite of Déjà vu.

Absolutely fascinating, but I imagine it's terrifying if experienced frequently.

4. Voor De Dood by Aroma Di Amore

80's Belgian Post-punk.

Love that guitar. Reminds me of Killing Joke.

5. Vision of God Scene from Ingmar Bergman's "Through a Glass Darkly"

For me, this is one of the most frightening scenes in cinema.

Paglia mentions it in Sexual Personae, in Chapter 12 on Coleridge.

Deeply unsettling. Genius in its minimalist execution. Saw it years ago and still remember it. Bergman is a master.

Perhaps I've read it somewhere, and I'm certain someone else has said it, but Bergman must have been influenced by 'The Crying Spider' by Odilon Redon.

Stopped at Henderson Beach State Park in Destin, Florida on the way home from NOLA.

It's as beautiful as it looks. I highly recommend it if you get the chance.
