Better Than Friday - 296 (Patreon)

Good evening everyone, how are ya?

Just posted the review for Harlan Ellison's "I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream".

Hope you dig it. I'm going to try and get the next review to you by the end of the weekend. The way the month worked out, everything finished up at the same time.

Wishing you a relaxing Friday evening and weekend.

Thank you so much for all your help keeping the show going.

1. A book my Grandmother recently sent me: The Kennedys by Peter Collier and David Horowitz (Paid Link)

I know next to nothing about the Kennedys, but it seems like an incredible story. After speaking about them with my Grandmother, she said she'd look for a book that seemed trustworthy and send it. This was her choice.

Time to get educated.

2. "Samurai's obsession with death harmed Japan in WWII – Sarah Paine"

Interesting discussion of the different value systems of the Japanese and the West.

3. Mark Lanegan 4AD Session

Phenomenal. This is the best performance I've ever seen from him.

4. Chris Zeischegg Interviews Emmalea Russo

A nice interview in which I receive a kind shout-out.

Planning on reviewing Zeischegg's 'The Magician' soon.

5. Silvana Mangano in "Mambo" (1954)

Saw this scene years ago. Very cool dancing.
