Well I'm sorry to hear that man.... I only started supporting the channel cause I liked the reviews but I wasn't expecting such personal material. I kinda feel like I should say something. D'you think it would be easier to get a project off the ground if it's an original screenplay? That way you don't have to worry about publishers messing around? I'd definitely be willing to read anything you whip out in terms of writing (you said you were working on something involving cannibalism and yoga? [or was it body-building?] That sounds pretty good to me!) Anyway, thanks for the book recs, and good luck with life in general. Incidentally, I thought Moonlight was a great fucking movie. Did you get to watch it? I recommend it. I mean it does lack certain key elements such as necrophilia and the occasional scalping but I loved it anyway.

At least you seriously tried. Sometimes it's the thrill of the culmination of a fully fledged idea that's more important than the actual result, or product. Go see A Ghost Story. Later you might want to see it when it's out of theaters, but it was a pleasure watching it with people who 1. were not sure what they were watching, and 2. were uncertain as to how to emotionally react to certain *ahem* pie scenes. Honestly just see it because it's thrilling that Slow Cinema is becoming popular in the states

Bummed that Story of the Eye hasn't worked out. Would have loved to see it get made. But I had the pleasure of seeing 'Good Time' at the Sydney Film Festival and that was such an intense, profound and pulpy ride (with a great fucking soundtrack) that brought up some inexplicable emotions that I can't make sense out of.
