Better Than Friday - 305 (Patreon)

Good evening everyone, how goes it?

Recently posted a review of Jim Thompson's "The Killer Inside Me".

Highly recommended, I really enjoyed it. One hell of an unreliable narrator.

Have a great weekend, and thanks so much to you all for making the show possible.

1. A recent kind book gift from my Mom: Byline by Ernest Hemingway (Paid Link)

A selection of Hemingway's journalism over the years. Looking forward to this very much.

My Mom was the one who originally got me into Hemingway.

I'm very grateful to have her for a Mom.

2. Thomas Bernhard Documentary

Great documentary.

I was inspired to post this by friend and patron Lukas, who mentioned Bernhard in our conversation today.

3. Acid Horse - "No Name No Slogan"

A collaboration between members of Ministry and Cabaret Voltaire.

One of my favorite industrial tracks of all time.

4. The Smiths - The Queen is Dead Live in 1986

What a performance. One of my favorite tracks by The Smiths.

Morrissey is an incredibly witty lyricist.

5. The downsides to having a pet raven.

A man explains his frustrations living with his bird.
