Hi there ya'll! How's it goin? Currently finishing up Mishima's "The Sailor Who Fell From Grace With The Sea".

What a good one. My second time reading it. Review coming soon.

Thanks so much for your continued support. Hope you have a great weekend.

1. A Book I'd like to read: Salvation on Sand Mountain by Dennis Covington (Paid Link)

A journalist explores the snake-handling religious sects of Appalachia. Looks so good.

Found this via my friend Will on instagram @wddishm

2. Colin Wilson Interview

I've been meaning to read "The Outsider" and "The Occult" by Colin Wilson for years.

Need to schedule those in.

Interesting guy. Wild story about the potassium cyanide.

3. Ozzy Osbourne Interview about a certain incident in Detroit

Rest in Hell you beautiful madman.

I once almost had to get rabies shots for a bat in our house.

After waking up in the pitch black darkness from a sound - from what I wasn't aware - I observed a twitching shape emerge out of a workboot like a large spider, illuminated only by the dull light of the kitchen.

A bat. Might have been the most horrific thing I have ever seen in real life. Nothing against bats.

The hospital wouldn't give me the shots as they couldn't locate any bite marks on me. Nevertheless, if I had been bitten while I was sleeping, technically, I could die any minute should the rabies activate. No coming back from that one.

There's American health insurance for ya.

4. "NOLA: Life, Death and Heavy Blues from the Bayou (Full Noisey Documentary)"A documentary exploring a very regional form of heavy metal that I've come to love.

5. Better Off Dead by The Wipers

My favorite track from a legendary Portland OR based punk band that had an influence on Nirvana.

Went to see Eyehategod this evening with my wife and friend and patron Andrew.

Outstanding.

+ What a strange coincidence that you mentioned Appalachia. I've been obsessed with their accent thanks to a girl that publishes many videos talking about their "word of the day", which is basically one thing that sounds like another. Curious to see how you pronounce the word itself. Appalachia. Ah-plohchia or Eh-p-lachia. + RIP Ozzy. Relieved you didn't have any issues with the bat bite.
