Thank you so much for sharing your favorites! I am looking forward to reading The Invention of Morel when I have some free time. Currently, I am bogged down in academia. 😱Interesting, about the portrayal of an individual who falls in love with an image. Such a seductive concept because one can fill in the image (empty vessel) with one’s own needs and desires independent of the real person. Instead of exploring the “secret person” of the heart it seems that this is more of an act of creation. Saving the peel but throwing the insides away? In reality, we may fall in love with an image but wake up to a very different reality. This story is basically killing the real person so an image can live forever? Or am I missing something? Anyway, I haven’t read the book but when I do I will give a more informed input!
