1. Book I'll be reading - Pornografia by Witold Gombrowicz

This was a gift from a fan, a novel written by a famous Polish author who went on a trip to Buenos Aires, and while he was gone, World War 2 started.  So he decided not to go back so soon.

Pornografia is about two men who try to get a teenage couple to fall in love.

The Critical Response on Wikipedia was intriguing.

2. Lousiana Channel Interview with Rachel Cusk

I always like to hear authors discuss their process.

I recently reviewed Cusk's 'Outline' and am looking forward to the next in her series, 'Transit'.

Her discussion on the 'form' is fascinating.

3. An Idea I've Been Considering that was suggested by a friend and fan.

Creating a course around what I've learned through the novels I've read. Something akin to a self-help course without the tasteless aftertaste.

There are many profound lessons to be extracted from literature.

Do you have any ideas on what you'd like to see in an online course?

If so please leave your suggestion below.

4. King Dude

Finally had the chance to see this guy in Austin TX, a fellow from the Pacific Northwest whom I've been listening to for years.

A Satanic Doo-Wop Band named 'Twin Temple' (picture below) opened up for him.

It was like a film about Anton Lavey's Church of Satan directed by John Waters.

Which is to say - Extremely entertaining.

5. A Remix of Some Classic Post Punk that I'm still a fan of.

Killing Joke's 'Love Like Blood', I rediscovered their stuff recently and found this version.

Terrific guitar on this track.

Ahhh man doing Gombrowicz now! I can't wait to hear a review if you do one. Cosmos is one of my absolute favourites!

If you need any help with Polish language/cultural background when researching Gombrowicz, I'd be glad to be of service :)

3. Existential crisis

Thomas Franche

C'est trop ridicule et bizarre. Un musée au Danemark qui s'appelle Louisiane ? Une gang de jeunes pseudo-satanistes qui font de la musique doo-wop ? Je crois que je vais laisser tomber.
