Hi ya'll, hope you have a great weekend. Thanks for the support.

1. Book in the Pipeline - In Cold Blood

I've never read Truman Capote but this just arrived the other day. I heard it was scary.

I also never saw the film with Philip Seymore Hoffman.

The most famous true crime novel of all time and one of the first non-fiction novels ever written; In Cold Blood is the bestseller that haunted its author long after he finished writing it.On November 15, 1959, in the small town of Holcomb, Kansas, four members of the Clutter family were savagely murdered by blasts from a shotgun held a few inches from their faces. There was no apparent motive for the crime, and there were almost no clues. As Truman Capote reconstructs the murder and the investigation that led to the capture, trial, and execution of the killers, he generates both mesmerizing suspense and astonishing empathy. In Cold Blood is a work that transcends its moment, yielding poignant insights into the nature of American violence.

2. So THAT'S how Palm Wine is made...

Reading The Palm Wine Drinkard made me want to try this.

This is hardcore. Looks delicious.

3. Underground Bunkers

Bunkers to wait out the apocalypse.

For those who want to remain alive in a 'Leaving Las Vegas' style as my friend who sent this put it.

I prefer death.

4. One of my Favorite Misfits Songs

The Misfits may be my favorite punk band (Danzig only), and if you've never listened, this is the season.

Something about the ghoulish horror film aesthetic with Elvis vocals mixed with the East Coast hardcore punk ferocity makes this band legendary.

5. A video that actually made me want to learn math.

I've always considered myself bad at logical thinking and problem-solving, but after such a long time out of school one starts to wonder if it was just the wrong time or one just didn't get the right introduction...

I found this on the street the other day and became hypnotized listening to this song, thinking 'These days, that's exactly where the clock belongs'.

Man, In Cold Blood is sooooo good. I didn’t find it scary at all, but Capote’s prose is certainly immersive (and hecka beautiful). His descriptions of the killers are some of the most complex, intricate and startling descriptions of human beings I’ve ever read.

I consider myself decent at logical thinking and problem-solving (I work as a software developer), but always hated math. I came to realise that the problem wasn't math itself, but the fact that i was forced to study it, for so many years. I also thought I hated Fernando Pessoa's writing, because we were forced to read it. Nowadays, I love it!
