Good morning everyone, hope ya'll are reading something excellent.

The Stand review has been shot, currently being edited.

The next 'big' one I aim to finish is Gravity's Rainbow.

Meanwhile...

1. Book I can't wait to get to...

I read and enjoyed Nathanael West's 'Day of the Locust' but this sounds like it may be even better.

A writer’s nightmare: his degrading day job as a lonely hearts advice columnist is only the beginning

Praised by great writers from Flannery O’Conner to Jonathan Lethem, Miss Lonelyhearts is an American classic. A newspaper reporter assigned to write the agony column in the depths of the Great Depression seeks respite from the poor souls who send in their sad letters, only to be further tormented by his viciously cynical editor, Shrike. This single volume of Miss Lonelyhearts features its original Alvin Lustig jacket design, as well as a new introduction by Harold Bloom, who calls it “my favorite work of modern American fiction.”

2. Carl Jung Quote From Kit Schluter's Instagram

Uff...

3. Somebody left this for free in my building.

And I can't understand why.

I've never peered in a copy of Gray's Anatomy before but it's just astounding...

4. Guns of Brixton (l'été chinois)

Interesting cover of The Clash classic, which still sounds terrific.

5. A Painting I love.

"Morning Greetings" by Hans Ole Brasen

Beautiful isn't it? Reminds me of the Rimbaud poem.

L’éternité

Elle est retrouvée.

Quoi ?– L’Eternité.

C’est la mer allée

Avec le soleil.

Ame sentinelle,

Murmurons l’aveu

De la nuit si nulle

Et du jour en feu.

Des humains suffrages,

Des communs élans

Là tu te dégages

Et voles selon.

Puisque de vous seules,

Braises de satin,

Le Devoir s’exhale

Sans qu’on dise : enfin.

Là pas d’espérance,

Nul orietur.

Science avec patience,

Le supplice est sûr.

Elle est retrouvée.

Quoi ?– L’Eternité.

C’est la mer allée

Avec le soleil.

Jung is always a great read. I highly recommend ”The Undiscovered Self”. It’s a great expositon of the mass-psychology of the soviet union as opposed to the individualism of the west. It’s one of the most insightful books I’ve read and it’s only about a 100 pages or so.
