I feel as though this is a milestone.

I don't know what to say, except a sincere Thank You to you all.

I hope this finds you all very well, and you're reading something exceptional.

1. A recommendation from a friend (from years ago) that I forgot about and was recently reminded of

A man is severely injured in a mysterious accident, receives an outrageous sum in legal compensation, and has no idea what to do with it.Then, one night, an ordinary sight sets off a series of bizarre visions he can’t quite place. How he goes about bringing his visions to life–and what happens afterward–makes for one of the most riveting, complex, and unusual novels in recent memory.Remainder is about the secret world each of us harbors within, and what might happen if we were granted the power to make it real. - Goodreads

2. What Michael Pollan Learned from Quitting Caffeine for 3 Months

I remember when I went off coffee for a whopping 2 weeks. I can only imagine.

3. Ancient Rome in 20 Minutes

Brief and reductive of course, but a fascinating consolidation.

4. Bukowski Poetry recently sent to me by a kind fan named Adam

I read a couple of pieces out of this one and I'm enjoying it.

5. Revisiting the soundscapes of Tim Hecker

Exquisite ambient/noise.

Great for just taking a walk and thinking.

I have that odd feeling that something is coming.

It may not be bad, but it feels like it will be extraordinary.

Somewhere out there, behind that window.

Huh, I randomly picked up that McCarthy on a trip 10 years ago and have yet to get around to it. I guess I'll have to bump it to the top (ish) of my list.

Jane Lecter

I just quit coffee yesterday and him saying he was a mess for three months has not boosted morale, ha

Remainder was good. IIRC it was a lot like Synecdoche, New York.

Marshall L'Amour

Somewhat related to Tim Hecker, I would highly recommend Lakker, Dalhous, Not Waving, Kerridge, Pye Corner Audio, Barnett & Coloccia, and Daniel Davies. In a similar vein, I would recommend a couple of specific tracks: "Strands" by Steve Hauschildt and "Alienation" by Umberto.

Thanks for the heads up and Happy 100th for Better Than Friday!
