1. A Book I'll be reviewing soon - The Pilgrim Hawk by Glenway Wescott
Never heard of it, but it has blurbs on the back from Susan Sontag and Samuel R. Delaney. I'm sold.

This powerful short novel describes the events of a single afternoon. Alwyn Tower, an American expatriate and sometime novelist, is staying with a friend outside of Paris, when a well-heeled, itinerant Irish couple drops in—with Lucy, their trained hawk, a restless, sullen, disturbingly totemic presence. Lunch is prepared, drink flows. A masquerade, at once harrowing and farcical, begins.A work of classical elegance and concision, The Pilgrim Hawk stands with Faulkner’s The Bear as one of the finest American short novels: a beautifully crafted story that is also a poignant evocation of the implacable power of love.- Amazon
L.A.-based darkwave band led by a Pakistani American woman who sings in Urdu.
Spent a couple of days here, stayed at the Hood River Hotel, and ate at the glorious restaurant attached to it - Broder Øst.
Had this dish called 'Unipurro', a Finnish barley porridge with roasted pears - Fucking stupendous. I need to learn how to make it.
Also had the pleasure of visiting Hiyu winery. Amazing food and wine.
4. Michael Gira (lead singer of SWANS) - The Knot
This is a collection of stories from his notorious book that I've reviewed 'The Consumer', as well as many (or all?) of the songs he's written. Fantastic.
Available now signed. Beautiful looking book.
I bought it.
5. Mike Tyson; Impressive History Buff
He could probably teach a great course on the mindset of world conquerors or write a book. I'd read it.
The view from our bed.
For some reason, I had trouble sleeping.
(just kidding)
