Good afternoon everyone, thunder and lightning here in St. Petersburg, wishing you much better weather.

Have a nice weekend and thanks so much for your continued support.

1. Currently Reading: "Suddenly Last Summer" by Tennessee Williams

Great so far. I'm also going to watch the film adaptation with Elizabeth Taylor.

2. Bushman!!!

This guy makes a living scaring the shit out of people (including me) on the streets of Key West. It's all in good fun. Loved when this couple recognized him.

3. Lecuona Cuban Boys

I love Ernesto Lecuona. He was a Cuban composer who wrote tons of jazz standards, such as Maria La O and Siboney.

Want to hear something crazy? Born in Havana, he studied piano under Joaquín Nin.

As in Anais Nin's dad.

Yes, the one she slept with later in life.

4. Birds of South Florida

What a list.

The wood stork is terrifying.

5. Yukio Mishima on WWII and Death

"We who live today, however, imagine death, but I wonder if we're even really living."

This is a White Crowned Dove, a rare bird (in the USA) from the list above.

I was fortunate enough to catch a shot of it in Key West, the only location in The States where it lives.
