Better Than Friday - 233 (Patreon)

Saludos! How art thou?

Spring approaches, a Happy March to you.

Wishing you a fine evening and weekend, wherever you may be, and hope whatever you’re reading is outstanding.

Thank you so much for your continued support.

1. Coming Soon - The King in Yellow by Robert W. Chambers (Paid Link)

A ridiculously overdue review. The inspiration for the now classic True Detective Season 1 and “One of the greatest weird tales ever written” according to H.P. Lovecraft.

Thanks very much to longtime friend and patron Eric for the reminder.

2. The Triumph of Death by Brueghel

One of my favorite paintings. I saw it once in the Prado.

2. Of Broken Links - These Trails

Astoundingly modern-sounding psych-folk from the 1970's.

El Rey Pescador and Hello Lou are other standouts on the album.

For fans of Vashti Bunyan, Scott Walker, Nico, and Paul Giovanni's soundtrack from 'The Wicker Man'.

4. Bugs Bunny Seducing Elmer Fudd is Still Funny

The smarm. Cartoons were better back in the day.

5. Criss Cross Dance Scene

Watching this stunning film noir with Burt Lancaster. Spectacular.

The clip has a warped aspect ratio but you get the idea.

Taken at a red light on the way to the gym.
