The art of sticking fairies in bottles is a long and storied adventuring tradition rooted in magi-medicinal practices. The common wisdom is that if you keep a fairy in a bottle it will restore all of your energy if you fall in battle. I can only imagine what kind of adverse side effects the fairies of the Lardyrinth might have on adventurers, however.
