Hi everyone!

The latest project I’m working on in the meantime will be equipped with this steering wheel.

It’s an old, very cheap, and very popular model that many of you already own.

I tried to buy a version of this rim without the OMP logo, but I had to return two wheels—even though they looked identical—due to very poor quality.

The first one was bent at the joint and didn’t have chamfered holes for the bolts, the second had a metal leftover under the fabric, and finally the third one—free of those issues—is fine.

The wheel is quite stiff, comfortable, and wrapped in something similar to Alcantara—definitely not genuine Alcantara or natural suede, but that’s obvious given the price.

The goal of this project is to offer an affordable and relatively easy-to-build JDM-style wheel for those who want to try their hand at DIY.

The project package will contain a complete parts list, along with details on the steering wheel supplier.
