Hey everyone!

2026 has kicked off dynamically. Today, I’m sharing some content that might be interesting for those who play in single-screen mode or are planning to get a monitor for that kind of setup.

I hope it will be useful for at least some of you.

Until next time 👋

16:9 to 21:9 Hack | Cockpit View Explained | SimHub Overlay Setup (PC ONLY)

#Update 1: Windows 11 has blocked the ability to move the taskbar to the top of the screen. This can still be achieved using the StartAllBack application. Link: https://www.startallback.com/ #Update 2: Some games may require „Windowed” mode instead of „Borderless” in video settings to scale the image properly. ********* Hi! This video was created mainly for people who play on large single 16:9 screens on PC. In the video, you’ll see how you can cheaply switch your gameplay to a 21:9 format and, at the same time, save some GPU resources. You’ll also see how different sizes of single screens affect the view of the car cockpit — this may be helpful if you’re considering choosing an ultrawide monitor. I intentionally didn’t want to cover topics like resolution, PPI, screen curvature, panel types, refresh rates, or vertical sync support — I’m sure you can handle that on your own and decide what your priorities are.. As mentioned in the video, it was created mainly for people who already play on large single screens, and for everyone who wanted to set things up the same way I did. Please note that this setup was not tested with every game, so compatibility may vary. On my channel, you’ll also find an earlier free solution using FancyZones, but I don’t recommend it because it doesn’t work as well as Borderless Gaming. Enjoy watching! 00:00 - Intro 01:07 - Cockpit view differences across 45", 49", 52", 55" & 57" displays 04:05 - 16:9 to 21:9 image transformation 08:29 - Overlay installation: leaderboard, PC statistics & in-game information ********* Q&A Q: Why not triple screens? A: I don’t have enough space for triple monitors. Q: Is this better than a regular ultrawide monitor? A: It depends. Monitors usually offer better refresh rates and lower input lag, but for me the image height is too small. This setup can be a good option for people already using a TV or Samsung Ark monitor as their main screen, and for those who are still deciding what to buy. If I had the space, I’d go for triple 55" LG C5 OLEDs. ********* If you’re planning to join my supporters on Patreon and download the Dashboard shown in the video, you’ll need these applications: SimHUB MSI AfterBurner RivaTuner (comes bundled with MSI Afterburner) Dashboard link: https://www.patreon.com/posts/115154855 ********* If you’re enjoying the content I create, don’t forget to hit that subscribe button and give this video a thumbs up. Thanks for this but its not pulling the track map in?

EVERLOST

Thanks for info, I will check this later 🙌

Damien Wakeford

Only the car and leaderboard is working in evo

EVERLOST

For now, my schedule is pretty tight because I’m finishing two steering wheel replicas, but I’ll take a look at it when I have a free moment. It’s possible this is related to a SimHub update or that the data sources need to be edited directly in that overlay. I’ll deal with it at the nearest opportunity. Please also check Assetto Corsa — it works on my side, and ACC probably does as well, but I need to verify that.

Damien Wakeford

Thank you ACC works perfectly as for AC it may be because i was running thro content manager on a drift track i tested on evo again and see only myself in the leader board and only rpm and speed works i loo forward to seeing more when you have time

Elythiel

Hey, thanks a lot for your work ! The dash seems to not work properly for me, the cpu part is ok, but gpu informations and framerate don’t seem to work

EVERLOST

Hey, I haven’t had time to look into it yet. It’s possible that I’ll need to verify the formulas that are assigned there. Thanks for the feedback — I’ll check it and try to prepare an update.

EVERLOST

I will try check it next week 🙌
