yes both of them have their own strengths, ta13oo era is so wild to dive into from a MMESYF-first perspective hahaha

James Nash

this is great would love too see u react to more music videos and like live performances - tyler’s new magic wand at the grammys is one of the best live performances and kendrick’s 2016 grammys performance was amazing

pathreacts

unfortunately i already watched it when people were recommending it after i posted the igor video so it wouldnt be a first reaction 😭 does he have any other music videos tho?? we can def check those out!!!

James Nash

who dat boy , earfquake , corso are pretty sick … yonkers from goblin also has a music video and from what i know it blew him up quite a bit . anything from igor and cmiygl are the most creative in my opinion

I did not know that camels had 6 eyelids, thanks, Path. I would subscribe for more fun facts with Path. :')

pathreacts

i think thats my only fun camel fact off the top of my head but i will try to include more random facts from now on 😆

Ayyyyy path coming through again!!! Given how dark the videos initially seemed when the album came out, i did not dare to listen until now and maybe also one of the reasons why I didn’t submit to the community favs, because initally was kinda scared to listen. One thing from the production, the 808’s are crazy on the whole album

HI path!!! Gonna the rest when I get home from work but sick vid so far. Now I know a bit more about camel’s eye lids :) btw, did you peep Kendrick’s “Count me out” music vid? I thought it was interesting and I loved it

Also how great he does the duality between what everything seems to be (about signing the deal, to drug usage, to how rappers are perceived), to how it really is and how distorted the reality about the music business really is, crazy album

Kayen

This is awesome to get more context before the final cut

pathreacts

no i didnt! the only music video i've seen of MMBS is for We Cry Together lol it was so impressive. i definitely want to check out the rest :)

Yesssss, and im not sure if im the only one, but albums like this, it takes time for me to properly understand them, the whole black and white with dark clowns aesthetic really was a lot to take in, cant wait for ur reaction to it 😭

pathreacts

glad to hear!! i think it helps paint a better picture of denzel's headspace tbh, the music videos give a great visualisation especially for how violent VENGEANCE is

pathreacts

ur def not the only one! thats why i take my time with the shallow-dives and getting more context before posting my reactions haha

I see, you’re doing such a great job tho, dont know if people highlight that a lot, but you have such a soothing voice for commentary and the voiceovers, easy to listen to, heh

Chaotic Good, Neutral and Evil is the aspects I believe the album follows with all three acts, or at least that's what makes sense to me. Also Mickey De Grand IV is who you see at the end. He produced and sang that part and some songs on the album. He is also a part of the band Psychic Mirrors which is pretty good.

pathreacts

that's such a great way to look at it, because i feel like "light" gives the impression that it's optimistic or uplifting but it isn't completely that

this era is my favorite denzel era; MMESYF is such a cool album and the general era surrounding it is super cool, but taboo just has the craziest storytelling that i am a consistent fan of
