Secret sketch of the month❄️ (Patreon)

Hi!✨

For December’s secret sketch I wanted to show you one of my favorites from the sketchbook. This was a study of the statue Hexe (Witch) by the artist Karl Cauer, from 1874.

I feel so inspired by the classic look of statues, specially the gaze of the faces and that particular beauty standard/facial structure.

I didn’t know the artwork and the artist until I saw it on one of my most favorite IG accounts, which is @justarthistory. I absolutely recommend you to take a look if you’re interested in art history and you want to discover or remember amazing classical work🌼
