It's a story. How is it supposed to be helpful? Imho, it's a very nice chapter bringing some emotional depth to Sorin and showing the impact his displacement causes him.

I like where it's going, but feel odd about the "Not one God damn thing" because it's not true. He's learned about the multiple towers, weird stuff in his soul space, that the Hellions are led by someone like him from another tower, that the indigo tower is in trouble... etc.
