The interior of the Protoss temple was vast and solemn. The walls were built from pale blue crystals, radiating a soft halo of light. The ground was fully engraved with ancient psionic patterns, carrying a faint sacred aura.

The faint blue crystal hovered before Alex's eyes. It was about the size of a human head, and within it, a galaxy seemed to flow slowly, its light flickering.

This crystal was the ancestral Memory Crystal passed down by the Protoss for thousands of years, carrying the origin and secrets of their entire race.

Under the compression of Alex's powerful telekinesis, the crystal continuously shrank until it finally became the size of a fist. Seven-colored brilliance flowed across its surface, making it crystal clear.

The members of the Reincarnator squad stood to the side, their eyes staring urgently at the crystal, their breathing somewhat ragged.

The reward for this S-rank mission issued by the Reincarnation Space was as high as five hundred thousand credit points, along with a choice between an S-rank skill and legendary equipment. This was an opportunity they would fight for even at the cost of their lives.

But with the crystal in Alex's hands, that unfathomable oppressive might left them without even the courage to approach, let alone snatch it.

Alex gazed at the crystal for a moment, his eyes completely devoid of emotion.

He had absolutely no interest in the past of the Protoss. To him, this crystal was no different from an ordinary rock.

He turned to look at Lilith and Bruce, his tone flat.

"Tell me how you became Reincarnators, and this crystal is yours."

Lilith's crimson eyes lowered slightly, her long eyelashes concealing the complexity in her depths.

"When my world was on the verge of destruction, my consciousness and cells attached themselves to a Reincarnator, escaping into the Reincarnation Space. The Reincarnation Space invited me to become a Reincarnator, and I didn't refuse. However, not even a tenth of my strength remains; otherwise, I wouldn't still be only at the Seventh Tier..."

Bruce Wayne's deep voice came from beneath his cowl, carrying a trace of imperceptible heaviness.

"After you left my world, I rejected the mysteriously appearing invitations three times. The fourth time, Earth, having lost Superman's protection, faced an invasion by Darkseid's army. The people were plunged into misery and suffering, and the world was on the brink of destruction. I had no choice."

Beside them, the squad leader, Jake, widened his eyes in disbelief, his face full of shock.

World destruction?

Superman?

Darkseid?

These two temporarily joined members actually had such rough and bizarre backgrounds?

Furthermore, the mysterious powerhouse before his eyes looked more and more like the legend circulating within the Reincarnation Space.

A trace of curiosity suddenly flashed in Bruce's eyes. He raised his head, looking straight at Alex.

"Actually, the reason I entered the Reincarnation Space was to possess infinite power like you. But from what I understand, even at the highest level of a Reincarnator—the Twelfth Tier—it is absolutely impossible to reach your level of strength. So, what exactly is your tier?"

Hearing this, Jake's face instantly turned deathly pale, and he anxiously interrupted.

"Don't ask! Don't ask anything!"

Alex smiled faintly. Without answering directly, he simply spoke to the void.

"Reincarnation Space, explain my existence."

Boom!

The Reincarnators present suddenly saw three glittering golden words float above Alex's head: Hunter!

An invisible majesty radiated from him, like a mountain pressing down, making the air feel viscous.

Jake's legs gave out, and he slowly collapsed to the ground, his heart full of despair.

It was over, he truly was a Hunter! The legendary existence that monitored all Reincarnators, a natural-born nemesis to them. The few of them were likely doomed!

To his surprise, the squad members Rei Ayanami and Bruce showed not a shred of fear.

Rei Ayanami instead tilted her head, asking curiously.

"Is Hunter a tier above Reincarnator? Translated into Reincarnator terms, what tier are you?"

Alex slowly shook his head and chuckled.

"Tier? Numbers have no meaning to me. I am not an ordinary Reincarnator. In fact, from the moment I entered the Reincarnation Space, I haven't been a Reincarnator for a single day."

Jake's body shook violently. This was Hunter's secret; if he kept listening, he feared his life would be forfeit.

Afraid that Rei Ayanami would ask another offensive question, he hurriedly lowered his head, his voice cautious.

"Shut up quickly, Rei Ayanami! He is a Hunter, a high-level existence responsible for monitoring all Reincarnators. He is the nemesis of Reincarnators!"
