No Shells 16 - Before and After (Noelani) (Patreon)

This is the No Shells of December. Yes, December, blame my job for being so behind!

So I couldn't help but reminisce about this comic. I know we have very few chapters overall and we did a few reboots, but when you think about it we have been working on this since 2017 (If you count the Merpals version, 2014). Almost a whole decade if not more, and I'm still trapped on the 1st season...! But at least we're still working on it!

With that said, I thought of bringing the "Beta" design of some of the characters, starting with Noelani.

Outside of the changes made to the overall mermaid designs of the comic, Noelani's shield was gonna be a shoulder shield, the blade still being sheathed inside of it. How was that shield gonna hold its place on the shoulder? Umm... magic? Honestly I never thought of that, I just thought it'd be cool, but is a good thing I did because as a shoulder shield I wouldn't have gotten any chance to show it in action unless I taught Noelani to block with her shoulder.

Personality wise there were no changes, mayhaps I made her more angry the more I developed her background, but that's about it.
