What can I say, the day job had me gallivanting around the country all of a sudden and so I just couldn’t get on my pc to create as much as I wanted so I left last weeks post and then got myself in a ‘I didn’t post’ shame spiral again. Sorry about that — but I’ve been busy, and I’ve got something I think you’ll like.

Now, take a look at the above pic….

I hope you like it, because it took 2 days to get! And yes I am pleased with it, but boy did it test my patience. You see everything apart from the shoes is shaped by gravity. The hair, well that’s easy enough, the dress bit trickier but I’m pretty quick at dresses these days. Now the knickers, oh those knickers, they needed a Dformer first and then the patience testing time of seeing how much they will stretch before they explode!

The next day it was rope time. I wanted the ropes to lift off the floor as she’s hauled up — subtle at first, then terrifying as the slack runs out. The quick trick would’ve been to bend them in a curve and call it a day, but that wouldn’t have felt real. I wanted the dread of the ropes tightening and the wedgie continuing — and after a lot of trial and error, I think I got that moment just right.

Anyway…

You remember last post when I said the subject matter seems to follow me around — like that cheeky pear? Well, it happened again, only this time with a potato. A very cheeky, pert potato at that… except I’d already started peeling it! By the time I noticed, it looked like something straight out of a Saw movie. 😂

That reminded me of another moment years back. I was in Paris with the actress, staying in a little one-room apartment. We had a tiny TV, so I flicked through the channels until I landed on a music station. And there it was: a lady from the Old West, seemingly whipping three upturned bottoms! I mean, what are the odds!

I recognised the band as Rednex, but had no clue what the track was. Later, YouTube helped me figure it out — it was “The Way I Mate.” If you’re curious, skip to about 2:17. Just a warning: it’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment.

Anyway Thanks for listening, I’ll be posting the new Candice page and the finisher animation soon — can’t wait to hear what you think.
