A Very Unplanned Break (Patreon)

Hi all — I just wanted to hit pause for a moment and explain the radio silence.

As you know, last month the day job had me working all hours. When this month started, I was finally feeling good and ready to get properly stuck into creating again… and then my PC decided it was done with life. I left it rendering, came back, and the glowing fans had stopped glowing. Never a good sign.

I thought, hmm… well, I was planning an upgrade anyway, so I ordered a new PC. Brilliant — should be here in a day or two, right?Then I started feeling a bit cloudy in the head. “Ah, it’s probably nothing…”But it was something…. It was the flu. And I’m still dealing with it 9 days later. Properly ill, honestly horrible.

The new PC did arrive, but of course it wasn’t smooth sailing. It wouldn’t connect to my monitor, so I had to buy an adapter cable… bought the wrong one… bought another one. Then, while feeling like death, I had to try and remember every password known to mankind just to reinstall my software.

To top it off, because my last two PCs literally died, I couldn’t uninstall Adobe Premiere Elements from them — which means Adobe now won’t let me use it on the new PC. Happy days 🙃Oh, and I’ve also lost all my morphs and poses.

That said, I’m choosing to see this as an opportunity rather than a disaster. And yes — there will be something for Christmas. I don’t fully know how I’m going to edit it right now, but I will make sure something festive comes your way.

In the meantime, I’m about to upload the new pages of the new comic — I hope you like them!

I’m going to go back to coughing and looking alternatives to adobe now, I’ll be back soon, and thank you so much for your patience and support 💛
