Happy New Year all! 🥂 (Patreon)

So… I am finally starting to feel a bit better. Still coughing a lot and still a bit foggy-headed, but after more than three weeks of this nonsense, I think I’m on the way out of it. Christmas was a bit of a struggle, to be honest. The worst part over the last few days was losing my sense of smell and taste — all the lovely food just tasted like cardboard. Absolute betrayal.

On a brighter note, the actress very much approved of the new knickers I got, and I’ll try to get a cheeky snap of them “in situ” soon 😉

One thing I did manage to do while being horizontal was watch a bunch of old movies, and I realised I can’t be the only one who does this…

I was watching Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, at the bit where the German officer has Elsa hostage and Sean Connery tells Indy she’s “one of them.” Of course Indy falls for it, puts the gun down, and then she says, “You should have listened to your father,” as she takes the diary.

Now this is where my brain takes over.In my version, Indy whips the gun out of the officer’s hand, knocks him out, and says, “You’re right, honey — I should listen to my father. Dad? What does a double-crossing femme fatale need to show her the error of her ways?”Cue Connery suggesting a bit of old-fashioned justice… and Indy obliges 😏

So I’m curious — are there any movie scenes (adult characters only, of course!) that you’ve mentally “rewritten” over the years? There must be loads. And without wanting to go on about that scene from Blue Hawaii… surely that’s one of the rare times where it actually does plays out the way we appreciate. Well Almost 🍑😜

Anyway — the Christmas comic is finished 🎄Next up, I’m going to animate a scene or two from it. Keeping things simple and to the point. I’ve got some new sound effects courtesy of the actress, so that should be fun… once I finish wrestling with editing software. Bloody Adobe.

Hope you’ve all had a great start to the new year, and that you’ve enjoyed the new comic. Let’s be honest — anything with Beatrix in it is always worth a look.

Posting it shortly!
