Well... it nearly works. 😂

So I hope you enjoyed the new comic pages earlier , and as you can see, Charlie's comeuppance could very well be on its way... 😈

Now, if you're wondering about the image above... well, there's a perfectly logical explanation.

Sort of.

I was watching Ted 2 the other day, which of course has Sam J. Jones from Flash Gordon in it. And that immediately sent my brain wandering back to Flash Gordon, the bore worms, and of course the wonderful and absolutely gorgeous Ornella Muti.

Oh man... that red Lycra. 😍

Anyway, from there my brain somehow arrived at the conclusion that Candice and Gracie would be absolutely perfect in one of those wonderfully cheesy old sci-fi movies.

So I had a little chat with ChatGPT about it.

ChatGPT basically said, “Yes, absolutely, great idea... but perhaps we shouldn't focus too much on the bum warming.”

I pointed out that the bum warming was rather the point.

And round and round we went. 😂

But eventually we did manage to create some AI slop that I actually think is worth a look.

Obviously, I still think my own animation with the robot and the Magus is better, but these pictures do have one rather interesting advantage: they give us an interpretation of what Candice might actually look like in the flesh.

It's definitely hit and miss...

But as long as she's in those shorts, I'm prepared to be fairly forgiving. 😜

Anyway, I haven't just been sitting around arguing with AI.

I've been animating too, and I'll be posting some of that shortly. This particular scene features a wooden spoon, and I suddenly realised I'm not sure I've ever animated with one before.

So naturally, some research was required. 😇

I had a little test run on a certain actress's backside and noticed that the movement is actually much more of a flick than I'd imagined. You barely see the moment of impact at all.

So I found a couple of reference clips involving spoon whacks, studied the movement and then went back and adjusted the animation.

See? Research.

Very serious business, this animation lark. 😂

I'll put some stills from that up as well, along with the rest of the sci-fi slop I've been talking about.

And yes... there is plenty more Candice and Gracie nonsense to come.
