I know it’s unintentional and I’m perhaps too maintenance phase-pilled but it can be tough to hear for those of us trying to outgrow the constant tortured guilt relationship w food!

my dad recently told me and my boyfriend a great story. i started walking & talking really young like as a baby basically, and he said one night him and my uncle were in the living room high af playing video games and baby me walked in the room talking in full sentences about the toys i needed to get then turned around and walked away. this freaked my uncle out so much that he got up and left 😭 he was high af like why is this baby talking and walking i gotta go

I took an amtrack from Seattle to Sacramento once and it's not worth it. You don't get to see as much of the coast as you hope you would and it's loud and uncomfortable. An hour flight versus a 22 hour train ride? Flight is going to win everytime.

as an early childhood educator and a previously hyperlexic baby (started speaking SUPER young), i think the fully conscious baby is just a very well socialized baby at the end of the day. like the adults in her life must talk to her normally and don’t do all the goo goo ga ga bs. it must help that she presumably sees how her older sister (or cousin maybe idk) communicates with adults too!
