Know exactly what you mean by whats the fun in going to and event to be grimy about $15 prize pool. Went to yugioh regional last year. First event id gone to outside locals. Got matched with someone i knew fairly well from locals. he was playing the same deck my previous opponent played i won game 1 and when i lost game 2 i confused the 2 rounds because they were using the same and deck and was like “well you got the win” gg” and they immediately snatched the scorecard and went to report score it was only after the next game i realized they did it because we naver played game 3 and he was taking a win from me. Sucked all the fun put of the rest of the event and i would have placed high enough for prizing if it hadnt happened. Havent had much fun with yugioh outside playing with friends since.

slime leaked he's going to be on the next episode and I'm literally frothing at the mouth. also glee was extremely pivotal in helping with queer awakenings for a ton of people but also did a lot of damage in regards to people who aren't just gay or lesbian but all other flavors of queer.

I've gone to most prerelreases since I started playing in 2011 (missed 3 total standard sets.) The last one I went to, Outlaws of Thunder Junction, in game two, after a long work day, I'm not focused at the start of the round and I accidentally cut my deck again before the game starts after my opponent cut it and he acted like I had stolen his cards. Just went off the handle about an honest mistake. I lost that game and in game 2 I keep mulliganing because I just didn't have enough lands. Found out that I had accidentally cut too many lands and only had a 38 card deck, forcing a game loss and finishing the round 0-2. My opponent than says "well, those are the breaks" and then submitted the game result before I could mark that I was dropping out of the prerelease. It's interactions like this that make me never want to play again. The spikes just overwhelmingly tend to be so shitty and angle shooting.

YES so glad people are talking positively about daniel radcliffe, he's one of my favorite actors of all time :D after all the JK terf nonsense he was the one shining light that made me not so terribly ashamed of being so attached to harry potter as a young trans man growing up. :') highly recommend y'all to watch kill your darlings (2013), imo its one of the best movies of all time and SO underrated !!!

i've played my share of lightly-competitive games in my time, and always needing to win even against less-experienced players is such a miserable way to go thru life! It's so much more fulfilling to teach kids/newbies something you're good at, and it's even more fun finding ways to make it a close enough game that they feel triumphant at the end regardless of skill level

As a black, femme Magic player I can relate so much to these stories about mean magic players. When I first started playing in 2017 I was playing standard. I would build a FUN standard deck and then bring it to tournaments, only to be met with these ruthless opponents who didn't give a fuck if I was new or not. They were so mean I would leave the shop in tears.
