Mortal Kombat Intros are awesome.

Are we "Blerds"?

Jarvis is getting into Fortnite

We take a friend quiz to see what friendship style we have.

Crimson Cochran

I am being brave and battling a stomach ache, this came at just the right time 🙏

Ash

for your question about a magic episode, YES!! speaking as someone whose whole knowledge of mtg comes from this pod and one game i played a year ago, i would love to see you guys get into it!

Rachel Eakes

I would love a magic episode and/or a dnd episode!!! I know next to nothing about either so I would love to see both in action

Rachel Eakes

the friendship quiz gives the same vibes as those sorting hat quizzes where the options can be summed up as 'brave' 'evil' 'smart' or 'other' to find what house you belong in lmao also, the John Donne analysis at the end made me giggle, welcome to my brain as someone with their degree in English Lit studies-- people just be throwing random ass quotes anywhere without the real context

rosier

i’d love to see yall play magic, i just got back into pokemon cards (bought some vintage wotc cards) and because of yall im thinking of getting back into mtg. it’d also be hella cool if yall would do a deep dive on the in and outs for beginners on the patreon!

Kevin James

Bloody Roar Primal Fury is so fucking good. My friend and I play against each other on an app called Fightcade. Also thank you boyz for getting me into Magic again

Robin Hulbert

In this episode, the Boyz accidentally dig themselves into an individualistic hole because they are mad at a quiz. Beautiful

Joob

Listening to this on my way to my exam to calm my nerves! Wish me luck :’)

Peri

Good luck/hope it went well! :) 🍀

Kadeem Motley

Lmfao I was listening to the episode and I heard “that black guy they don’t put in it anymore” I thought “he’s talking about Bruce” and so I switched to video to confirm and I was right 😭

Kadeem Motley

OH MY GOD BLOODY ROAR WAS MY SHIT!

Lily Delphia

Fun fact: When Bryan Fury was introduced, one of his official “likes” was his pants. Also today I realized I am so Tekken-pilled that when Jordan said “Steve Phoenix” I yelled at my phone 🤣

Shelby Fawn

I’m not normally big into MTG (that’s my husband’s thing, I’m the D&D one in the household) but I’m considering either buying commander decks or drafting the upcoming set to play with hubs. I don’t care if it perpetuates stereotypes, I am extremely excited to play with adorable animals.

Carolina Lawson

I am admittedly not personally interested in MTG, D&D or anime BUT I love seeing people happy and interested in something, especially when I enjoy said people😂 happy you guys are happy☺️ and if you ever happen to mention one of my special interests(language or random animal facts) it will be a sweet little treat for my spicy neurodivergent brain😂

Dulchee

Yes plz play magic!!

ell eggar

i love that you guys are too nuanced for quizzes

Nicole S

I was just listening at first so I didn't realize that was an NYT quiz? It sounded like something from Uquiz hahaha

lio

I'd love to see you guys play something on the show! Whether it be D&D or Magic anything with the boys is a fun time.

Drawn at Random

shoutout to Jarvis's medium-friend Addy who was transformed into a hyper-intelligent dog for the sake of this segment (and whose mystery puppy problem we will never know any more about)

Diamondjihoon

Sorry for being the 70th like, ruined the 69

mars

are you kidding yes please please please do some mtg specific content 😭 my first job at 17 was at a card and game shop, but it wasn't until i had graduated and the shop had closed down in 2019 that i actually got into it. so despite having ~technically~ played it for a long time, i haven't played it nearly enough for how much i enjoy it and how long ago i started. since i've got that dog in me (anxiety) and was a teen afab person/"girl" at the time who had spent years working there and running our weekly commander night, you can imagine some of the kinds of people i dealt with that would uhh not make me want to play with strangers, so i never played outside of a small handful of my friends who all moved across the country years ago. i started seeing someone in january and managed to make him play with me enough times that the hyperfixation worm is back and decimating my brain, but he doesn't really like it :')) y'all started getting into it/talking about it on the pod around the same time, you even got me into arena despite my spending years refusing to bc the one time i tried in like 2019 i hated it. it's my favourite accidental reoccurring sad boyz segment atm and getting to live vicariously through y'all is so fun, i would so fucking love to see more of it ! also dnd content would be killer, that one's an even longer running hyperfixation of mine and everytime y'all mention it even in passing the dopamine rush is crazy hfshdhjg and uh if anyone wants to kick my ass in arena my user is closetgoth#61515 (old high school bit, yes i'm embarrassed dw about it). i truly love this game but am so so bad at it, so would love some practice :) sad boyz gang lmk if u want me to not be floating that here and i'll delete it lmao

mars

fucking just remembered okay so, i've been playing mtg arena obsessively for weeks. i was falling asleep last night across the bed when my partner came back from brushing his teeth and turned on the light to get me to move, i was half asleep kinda i guess dreaming????? and fully like saw an arena style hand of cards infront of me and went to fucking counterspell the light. that's how bad the brainrot is 😭 i guess my point is that's your fault jarvis thanks?

Corrine Schaible

Is calling skeletons "skellingtons" and "skellies" like an internet thing?? They're fun and it's weird that someone else calls them that fr

Bingo TallHats

Forget Medium Friends. Shout out to all my fellow 5’2 homies, forever condemned to be the low friends

William

As a Magic fan who got here before you started getting into Magic, it’d be so sick to see Magic content from you guys. I started freaking out as soon as Jarvis mentioned Magic the first time lol

Apple Cider

Fundamentally a friendship quiz is not going to be a good framework for neurodivergent people, I found myself also having the same issues answering that quiz.

gin

brb changing my name to devil gin

sam keith

the building in fortnite is what makes it dif from other 3ps games tho no? that’s why i like it at least but i could be wrong bc i’m dumb

Moby Doggy

“Skellington” comes from “Jack Skellington” the main character in ‘A Nightmare Before Christmas’. I think “skellies” is just a fun little shortened phrase lol. So it’s kind of an internet thing?? /genuine

Calea

Tekken 3 and the Spyro trilogy games were all I played when I was a kid. Soul Edge (also known as Soul Blade in North America, Europe, and Australia), the first installment of Soulcalibur, was amazing too. Those were simpler times. 😌 The 2018 remake for the Spyro trilogy came out, and my husband surprised me with it. It was everything I wanted it to be and more. 🥹

tiny door atelier

this quiz made me mad at the same spots y'all got mad. esp completely misrepresenting Donne's poem. BuzzFeed nonsense.

Michael McGowan

Skellington is a British thing dating back to at least the 1800s. I would guess it's a Cockney or West Country thing, since they tend to pronounce things in their own way.
