tbf the punk movement is incredibly interesting. I've written about it in an academic setting and I don't listen to punk music lol edit: nvm he's not even INTERESTED IN IT? BRUH

MilesKaySolomon

That punk guy probably had to out himself as a fraud to avoid getting an hbomberguy video made about him.

Max Blake

Jordan in a beater just does it for me

Luka Thwing

I counted 162 instances of the word "fudge" or similar words like "fudging" in the span of about 23 min. That's an average of over 7 times a minute.

Ares Xenia

PLEASE I need to know more about the fudge list

Ellen Ringrose

I will say, ppl that say they hate eating, I don’t know them but… maybe an eating disorder flag? Actually my dad told me, in helping me with my ED, that he didn’t rly care about food when he was younger and just ate whatever he needed as fuel for his body, and that was quite helpful for me as in the mindset I was (still am to some extent) in was that eating = gluttony = failure. Idk, it probably wasn’t that deep for those ppl, but just wanted to say on the off chance.

Olivia Johnson

nothing makes more sense in this world than jarvis being a childish gambino fan

GB

I got derailed from this video for an hour listening to Gambino songs. (Back again and got pulled away AGAIN, found 3 remixes to Sweatpants

Cheyenne D

The lack of detail the fudge daughter gives is so frustrating lol

Logographe

« He’s received the vessel from mother » made me giggle

Ty Hardnett

punkrock mba is SO weird. his wife is like super right wing and he always has weird takes on anything that isn’t rock

Cane.shuga

My Childish Gambino love has been reawakened by this episode. Thanks Jarvis ❤️

would it be possible to get separate Collections made of both the video and audio Nightz episodes? I'm often watching a regular episode on YouTube and wanting to come watch the corresponding Nightz, and the collapsed list view of a Collection would really help me scroll through and match the episode date up without having to wait for the infinite scroll of the home page to load through all the thumbnails and comment previews if it's a real deep cut episode. thanks and love yall!! 💜

Sav

Yeah her saying that icked me out. I used to be hell depressed and didn't have the energy to eat and hated having to do it. Also as a kid I struggled with textures so much that it was hard to try anything new

Ellen Ringrose

Same! Before I had a full fledged ED I really really struggled with food textures (later for diagnosed with autism lol) and it makes it super hard to eat!!

scarflett

yeah i was gonna say also 💔 arfid makes eating really hard for me

Malek

this is sad boyz nights and we can do anything. even tax fraud.

Adrian 🧜‍♀️

Anastasia has mentioned struggling with anorexia/ed in the past, maybe that is why she is bothered by it

Kristen

He is such an elitist asshole. I straight up had to block him after seeing his wife's transphobic.

Nat

yasssss <3

Gwen Serenity

The fudge list drama sounds like something out of the show succession

Jaye Hawkorvan

I can understand needing a fudge list. You can only make so much fudge 😭😭

洪達寧

I can't listen to Sweatpants by Childish Gambino without thinking about the Sweatpants "Community music video" on YouTube

I was looking for this comment! I had disordered eating for a while coming off a too strict diet and I used to say I hated eating/legit made the comment that I wanted a pill to replace my meals, just like Anatastia mentioned. Now it's a lot better, but I do go through phases of hating eating again, which is usually coupled with some body image issues (e.g. i think i look fat in the mirror and all the sudden eating seems laborious again). I can't speak for the majority of people, especially not for the particular people Anastasia is talking about, but I will say that her viewing it as like virtue-signaling makes me wonder if she's unaware of how an ED can affect people's perception of food like that (since she didn't treat it with the sensitivity I'd have thought she would've if she understood why some may say this).

Ellen Ringrose

Yeah in my experience people who say they hate eating, including myself, are very unhappy and are trying to either ask for help or in some way are trying to make themselves feel better from the competitive perspective of EDs. I go through phases with food too - just be proud whenever you manage to and don’t beat yourself up when it goes a little wonky!! <3

Nobrina

the boys learning fudge isn't always chocolate is so funny to me

Those mourning Punk Rock MBA should check out Trash Theory. Less click bait-y vibes, entertaining, and super informative in my experience. (Except the pop punk video.)

Finn McKenty is so full of shit. There’s literally no way he could’ve started his channel with the intention of making money. His early videos were him talking about somewhat niches bands and genres and the history of certain scenes based off his own anecdotes. The reason he pivoted and quit was because he couldn’t handle criticism and couldn’t refrain from saying super negative things about some of the bands he’d cover. Nobody wanted him to read Wikipedia articles, that was his decision because it would catch more eyes and cause him to be called out less for his horrible takes.

Anikah Stone

Could listen to a while episode of the boys listening to because of the internet- still one of my favorite albums ever

Trace Waldram

Fudge lady has the delivery of Ted Nivision and I can't really elaborate

Bee

Poughkeepsie mentioned!!!! And yes it's pronounced Vassar: Vass-er Poughkeepsie: pough(like dough but w/ a P)-kip-see

Micah

two minutes into the fudge section and it’s already sounding like a fake word (more fake than every other word is)

Jaiden

I have listened to this whole podcast and just realised that I was imagining nougat not fudge the whole time...
