I need Jordan’s shirt or sweater or whatever.

I also watched the Gabby Petito documentary, and the whole thing was incredibly sad, but the cop part was so annoying. It was like they forgot the 911 call they received. And why would you send off a 22 year old woman who's obviously distraught alone in a van?

Ben Reynolds

Long time listener first time caller, does anyone know what kind of mtg decks these sad boys play? or if theres a style of magic they vibe with?

HxZero

if Pete Davidson has zero haters im dead

Burning Cole

Have you considered posting your normal videos on here so patrons can watch them without ads? I don't want to take a view from you on YouTube, but I also don't like ads very much.

Indi B

Listening while chorin’ and heard “a $5 Chinese meal?!” Or something and you guys need to watch the Australian classic meme.. “what’s the charge? Eating a meal?! A succulent Chinese meal?!” https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSMkh1VDr/

Indi B

Yes he is genuinely being arrested

Indi B

Commented this before the (imo, as an Aussie) decent Australian accent-Drake-drone segment.

I have a documentary recommendation! It's "Um Lugar ao Sol" (in English, "A place near the sun"). It's a Brazilian documentary (subtitled in English), free on YouTube, where they interview the residents of the penthouses in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Recife. You get to watch these incredibly rich people make absolute fools of themselves on television. Content warnings for racism, poverty, and violence.

Bingo TallHats

“Better stand down, I’m the truth” Interrupts Obama with “hold on hold on, we don’t don’t gotta do all that” 💀 Never seen a person get so shut down, Ant was having none of it haha

sunny

i think they watched on their nights ep with boyboy and ididathing :>

what’s crazy abt the MTG thing is that MTG has a pretty bad rep as far as the community goes, so people avoid it like the plague, wouldn’t it be a draw for the community to bring in more players which in turn brings in more money/interest and makes WOTC want to invest more in it?

Tabitha

and let me add, i am not an MTG player but i do play D&D, so i am not punching down w my comments about the community, its more like a punch sideways because the overlap between the two is huge and D&D also has a pretty bad rep too.

My grandmother used to have a few of those little carts, they're called a jinker here in Australia. Apparently they're called a sulky in other places. I think she used to do harness racing at an amateur level as well. My grandparents had a farm and she used to breed and train ponies. Nikola Jokic is truly living his best life. I just looked it up and he used to do harness racing when he was younger. If you google "Trotting Is Jokić’s First Love" there's a cute article about it with old photos.

May we never forget that time when KD was cursed by the almighty BasedGod.

With the Pete Davidson tattoos thing he's talked before about how he was getting them as a form of self harm, so it kind of makes sense to me why he would Lazer them off completely. In an interview years ago he said he started covering cutting scars with the tattoos and then replaced the cutting with the tattoos so they were all from when he was manic or experiencing poor mental health seeking pain. I think the Fallon interview is probably him addressing it in a PR way without having to go so deep. I can understand not wanting to carry a reminder of those times around with you.

For people looking for documentaries (particularly sports ones): I really recommend Freedom’s Fury. It is about the 1956 Olympic water polo match between Hungary and the Soviet Union, which takes place at the same time as the Hungarian revolution. For people in the US, it’s free on Tubi. Another doc free on Tubi: Southern Comfort is a 2001 doc about Robert’s Eads, a trans man dying of ovarian cancer. Obviously, warning for transphobia. There is also some racism if I remember correctly but I haven’t watched it in 10 yrs so I can’t give any more specific warnings other than it is super sad. Final rec: Harlan County, USA is on Max. It is a 1976 doc about a miner’s strike in Kentucky. Note: I thought this was one of the best documentaries I had ever watched and my friend thought I was the most boring, so ymmv!

Randomized Designs

Random fact, my job is doing a collab with Kevin Durant.

Somer Matthews

Jarvis! Must watch documentary rec if you haven't yet: the legend of Eddie Aikau 30 for 30.

I really have appreciated Pete’s openness about his mental health challenges. Him talking about his huge tattoo removal is more raw than people realize. He talked about using tattoos as self harm & covering self harm scars with them. Him getting them removed seems to signal his place in recovery. So many people, even therapists, don’t believe that men can have BPD. (source: I’m a social worker) BPD is also so incredibly stigmatized that having a beloved dude like Pete discussing his dx, humanizes others w/ BPD. While it definitely wasn’t great that he’s been huge in the public eye, I appreciate him. Love any men who are empathetic & open about their mental health challenges (clearly)

Pat Ortega

"he's pro HIS choice" just made me scream laugh i think i woke my roommate up

Olivia Miller

i love you guys a lot but i wish the mini view of you guys was positioned differently when you showed clips of things so i can see the subtitles :,)

Isa PS

idk my only concern is that laser hurts and could feasibly be another form of SH. but also he's an adult and idk him

Alissa (bunnieGG)

I am SO ready to make a Sephiroth commander deck. Having alt universes with various mechanics makes commander that much more fun. Can't speak for standard bc I don't play it anymore, but casual commander is the perfect place for these cards imo

Hels64

I have actually wanted to get into MTG for a super long time but never knew where to jump in so I’m planning on taking the plunge by buying the FF cards!

TK

The reason that Ant clip is so perfect is bc he is a menace and talks his shit. But also that he had to tell Lebron and KD the context so he wouldn’t get in trouble LMAO

Chloe

The part where Jordan is talking about their mentality around getting their tattoos made me think of this Robert Jordan (lord of chaos) quote "Almost dead yesterday, maybe dead tomorrow, but alive, gloriously alive, today."

Briar

Personally, my biggest issue with Universes Beyond is UB packs are going to cost more than other, non UB standard set packs - when we already had a pack price hike recently with the introduction of play boosters - so it only further increases the cost of drafts and other limited events. I do have some more nuanced complaints about the story behind the sets and how UB effects that - but the Discourse really is largely the loudest men online just screaming till they're red in the face that their favorite* game is changing and bad. *(they've been lowkey hating the game since Richard Garfield left over a decade ago)

kalarra

I gotta admit I was a sports hater for a long time but Jarvis and Anastasia have shown me how the narrative is a huge draw. I’m still not following any sport or athletes but I’m no longer a hater

kalarra

I want a 90% transparent overlay of them over the screen. Like visible but only slightly

Jester

my general tattoo regret immediately went away when i got my first coverup. the original was very pretty but served too many bad memories. i still think long and hard about tats i want (and will likely never do matching tattoos with someone again), but having that piece taught me that some things dont have to have meaning. maybe they're just pretty :)
