i learned about the tylenol thing in my intro to marketing class as a case study on how companies should take action for issues even if they aren't directly their fault of they want to keep the trust of the customers so naturally we did not get the part about the ransom note

I think changing therapists can be beneficial. I’ve had a number of different therapists over the years and have got different things at different times from different people. I think as well finding someone with a similar life experience, in Jarvis’ case a black man, can be really useful. This year I started seeing a psychiatrist who offers psychodynamic psychotherapy and it’s going well.

Also I relate to a lot of Jarvis speaks about and I think maybe Jarvis would find useful someone who specialises in childhood trauma.

I need to say I switched to a Black woman therapist (i’m a Black woman) a few years ago after going to white women therapists only, and it changed my life! it’s nice to be able to say something about feeling like certain experiences are racialized and having someone respond with compassion from a place of understanding!!

My go to for falling asleep vids is long interviews/news in languages I don’t speak. Atm mostly Czech Never a clue what they’re talking about but I think the format and tone is just familiar enough that my sleepy brain doesn’t care? Done a real number on my recommendations

lol I had the same concerns with the therapist I was seeing and when I voiced that I wanted to be more active and less vent-y she told me I needed to go to an inpatient facility for alcoholics…when I’m sober and have not had any big issues with that (my stuff is more depression/PTSD)… now I’m mad at myself for wasting so much time with her. I wish I was able to have a more positive mindset about it like Jarvis does!
