finally an episode that i can confidently show my girlfriend. i have consistently been trying to show her an episode of the pod that has BG3 moments in it, but every time it just so happens to not come up lmao. (she's hyperfixated on the game, i haven't started my run yet)

Joob

A video about baldurs gate just as I’m playing baldurs gate??? What perfect timing (Accidentally commented this on the audio version 😂)

Sarah S

I always love episodes where the boys just talk about what they’re interested in, it’s my fav type of episode to just put on in the background while cooking or cleaning my apartment! Love episodes like this!

Naima

yess the baldur's gate episode

Vaughn Wright

It's amazing how much I relate to this podcast. As a 30-year-old mixed nerdy guy, I also struggle with ADHD, anxiety, and depression. When you guys talk about struggling to take care of yourselves, your spaces, and handling simple tasks, it makes me feel better about myself. I often feel incompetent when it comes to these issues, and wonder why they seem to come so naturally to others. Learning that there is a reason for how I am and that there's a way to treat it has been liberating. Thank you for existing, dudes.

one thing i also really love about bg3 is the unashamed LGBTQ+ rep. There's so many queer NPCs that are just casually walking about the game, casual references to their husbands/wives, using they/them pronouns etc, it's so cool to see. It's very comforting and gives me a lot of hope for the future of rep in the game industry, it's rare to see games as big as BG3 do it so well (especially considering how toxic the D&D community has been over the years). Like I finally have a fantasy game that makes me say ''hey!! they're just like me fr!!!'' I just ararahghghj i love queerness (love the episode btw I literally start frothing at the mouth whenever BG3 is mentioned)

Amalie Lind Ravn

Currently on my 4th run of the game, so naturally this was a delight to listen to!

Taylor Chadwick

nightz episode SO made for me. Ive been playing 5e since it came out, i’m on my 6th playthrough and considering streaming another one to demo hard boss fights made simpler

Phoebe C

THE BG3 EP WE’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR! <3

Gwen

I don't really play videogames and I'm not interested in basketball yet I'm always so happy when these eps come out and I get to listen to two Boyz talking about their passions for two hours. Truly a delight

Yall describing Astarion @ 11 min, I'm like " Oh OK I get it! He's a tsundere! No wonder he's popular"

chronicrow

you have no idea how hard it is to be a tumblr user right now and not really care that much about astarion /j

it's funny that I got access to the patreon last week on a whim just ebacause I wanted to support the boyz, but if I hadn't I would have done it for this one 100%, I stopped watching the main one to finish this topic because I was so invested ahah

Sigma

Xira

Hey Jarvis and Jordan, I recently discovered your podcast and have been loving it, and I have a question for Jarvis. Rewatching an old episode, I heard Jarvis mention that he is half black and half white. I am also half black and half white, but only grew up around mostly white people, with a few exceptions with my dad and close relatives, and so I dont exactly feel black. Can you talk about the experience of not being fully black? Do you feel more black, white, or neither? I've never really explored these topics and would be interested to hear y'all's opinion. Im a little lighter than Jarvis, so I feel a bit nervous saying the n-word, but Jarvis seemed comfortable with saying it, so I am curious about that as well. Thanks to you and everyone on the team!

Meredith

I literally got a bg3 spoiler just trying to find if it was possible to get from one place to another 😅 I want to know all the things

Danny Rees

He has talked about it quite a bit in older episodes as well as on his YouTube channel, idk which specific video, but if you rewtch the podcast through, you'll find that sorta stuff :)

Danny Rees

Jordan, make that gaming podcast and I'll be your first sub istg. I don't care about other gaming podcasts usually but I love hearing your gaming rambles

MippyMoo

Paid for patreon just for this episode :)

Grimstones' Server

I LOVE balders gate. Did you know about the fish people(idk if they talk about them in this episode yet)

Gibus

I paid 5$ for this, just for this, worth

Riley H

I started playing baldurs gate because of how much Jordan talks about it. Best decision ever

テーブル Table

I finally got started with the game two days ago and was saving this ep for it, and I watched at a perfect time. I was enjoying it but getting overwhelmed and genuinely stressed from the info dump at the beginning and my lack of knowledge of mechanics. I felt very seen when yall talked bout that 😂 great ep as always!

chingiz

One of the most beautiful things I discovered that I could do was to use furious throw on in game objects including enemies, just pick them up and throw them off the cliff 😭

madz

hell yeah this is what i paid for 🔥🔥 so worth it

Ethan Provençal

finally made it to the mythical BG3 episode !!!

Robin Hulbert

Oh my god the fantasy racism in BG3 is insane and GOBLINS especially WHAT message were they going for there 😦 Intelligent and capable of having bonds. Not capable of being played as, not capable of being good. 😟 And they all talk cockney 😬

Robin Hulbert

Also oh my god Jordan you are so right I never get tired of the cut away from prone enemies falling over it's the funniest thing in the whole game

Jasper

I know this is like way late to the point of mattering but regarding the unarmored defense and base AC stuff for barbarians, I did run into a thing for Karlach where her AC was lower than I thought it should be for only wearing clothing, and then I realized the boots or something I had her wearing was considered armor, so I switched a few things around. Unarmored defense is definitely rougher in early game before you can find those “+1 AC” accessories
