Hey everybody!

I've got another batch of monsters from my weekly Twitch monster stream for you all. Stats and descriptions are below, and you can read the full GM Binder doc here.

As always, thank you SO MUCH to everyone who tuned in. It's always a ton of fun, and I'm glad I'm able to do this with y'all.

Anyway, onto the monsters!

Taken Bandit (Taken Template)

Not your average entry this time around, as I codified and tested out a template for the Destiny series' Taken enemies, requested (and originally drafted) by Patron @whistlehunter.

This is pretty long, especially compared to how minimalistic other 5e templates are, but I wanted to make sure that all the originally mentioned elements made it in, so that it could really represent the source material.

For the full list of template alterations, check out the GM Binder link up at the top.

All Hallows Cat

This is a fun one suggested by redditor /u/FlameswordFireCall, who tagged me over on /r/ImaginaryDemons for this amazing art by DeviantArt user IrenHorrors.

For this one, essentially just crossed your typical low-level demon with a cat, gave it some wings, then tried to think of some cat-like abilities to give it.

For some reason, whenever I'm making some monstrous incarnation of a housecat, my go-to idea for a projectile attack is some kind of magical hairball. As a lifelong cat owner, I can't possibly imagine why that would be...

Mothman

This one was suggested by viewer and Discord regular @SherlockHole1, and is based on the West Virginian cryptid.

The folklore around this cryptozoological creature seems to revolve around its appearance near the same time as a major disaster, and I think that really stuck with me, so I integrated that into its stats, and even provided in the document a variant of the cultist NPC from the Monster Manual to go along with it.

Other than that, it was basically just a matter of making a flying humanoid sufficiently creepy and dangerous, and some good melee attacks and a fear/confusion gaze action takes care of that well enough, I think.

And that's another one in the books. Again and as always, thanks a ton to everyone tuning in, and I hope to see you for the next one!

Cheers,

~IADnDMN
