Gotta love a Sir Superhero video to help me get through the night shift.

Darth Xader

“R for Retribution” the guy says, why not V for vendetta?

CJ13

Spider-Man vs. Super Why!

Christopher Brown

You brought up something in this video that I feel like would make a goofy video the funniest instances of Marvel artiest and writers accidentally reviveing characters.

Sir_Superhero

This would be funny, but unfortunately near-impossible to actually compile. The only way to tell when this happens is to see when a character dies, then appears next as a cameo, and that's not something I can really search outside of checking...every character individually. It kinda just has to stay as a funny thing you stumble upon occasionally.

Matthew Drew

Happy National Power Rangers day Sir Superhero

Joseph McGivern

I love implied off panel stories about rise to prominences and resurrection of radom nobodies.

Cynthia Faye

I just. Truly. Never could’ve imagined “and then Venom fucking crushes him to death.” At the end. Just of all places I thought this was going while trying to make dinner. Holy fuck that’s so funny

Christopher Ulichney

In my head cannon Typeface was returned to life as a ripple effect of Spider-Man's deal with Mephisto in the "One More Day" storyline.

Mike Smith

I’d be perfectly happy with a Typeface-type episode every time. I was always so confused by him showing up in Civil War where he is played straight even there!

Isis

Could the next one be on The Stamford Incident and Speedball? I don’t remember him in anything after getting his pain suit in an abandoned warehouse

ContextSensitive

Alternatively, that could be a legacy typeface in that Deadpool comic. Just someone that happens to look like him taking on the persona for the rep.

Redicular

Shame, i was going to suggest it as well, but checked the comments first. Still, weird and wacky resurrections in general is a topic to keep in your mind for the future.

Holden Kodish

I think that it’s Just as funny the third way too, where Typeface got that cleared up, and then was framed for burning down another building

Patick Rizzo

I'd be amused to see this character return, in a comic. see how new writers examine his gimmick.

Loupy

So, that is the backstory of this guy I saw in the civil wars comics...

Elisabeth Latini

Honestly, I can see a lot of potential in this guy. Somethin' like a story about how mental health and their declines might not get any help since... it becomes "This guy is a villain/hero" when that's how it pans out. I can see a one or two-shot going over certain obscure gimmick character's getting help or being guided towards that. Atleast, Typeface getting such a serious introduction and stuff seems to hint at SOMETHING along those lines. A certain respect of "This guy might be a bit silly, but he is a guy."

Cyan _

I actually could not guess what Typeface's gimmick is. As of right now I know its something involving fonts, but what specifically? no clue. Like with kiteman, you can guess that he uses his kite to do crimes by like flying away from them. I have no idea how this guy relates to or utilizes typefaces, beyond that he does do it. apparently

Cyan _

ohhhh. the letters are gadgets. I did not even consider that that big... b I think its the letter b, could be a sword.

Leafy Greens

I find the fact that you pretty much forgot he was in Spiderverse, which is the only thing I recognized him from, extremely funny

Melody Jett Werner

or mayhaps he did a little arson during/after clearing his name.

Mike Fatum

So, I think that opening bit WAS a bit. It's very British humor (don't know if Jenkins is British, actually) where it's played super straight, but what's happening is so silly that you laugh. Like, super dark, serious backstory...and then an incredibly goofy villain. It felt like kind of a parody of dark and edgy comics when I read it at the time.

Kyle Carr

That alien abduction issue was the very first Marvel comic I ever bought and read. I was helping my grandma run her booth at a craft show, and she gave me some spending money. I found this guy that had crates of comics, saw the comic, and had to buy it. So, weirdly, I am one of those 2 Typeface fans you mentioned and have been so since I was 9 years old

Bob Smith

So Typeface got a one shot but not our boy Stingray? Where is the justice in the world?

HNK

This was not cheap, this was fun!!! He reminds me a lot of doom patrol villains. It would be nice to just see things that start out dumb, continue to be dumb but get more charming as time goes on.

Matt Schumacher

Wow I can’t believe an obscure Joke villain was featured in the famous Civil War panel that featured iconic Marvel Heroes like Captain America, Iron Man, and Lectronn.

Pumaloaf

I like 'word powers', the idea of being able to generate effects if you spell them with scrabble tiles is neat imo

Quartz Roolz

Paul Jenkins and Mark Birmingham are both British, which absolutely tracks. Surprisingly Jenkins hasnt done any work with 2000AD, at least according to his wikipedia bibliography, which is kinda wild as typeface very much feels like the kind of Character that would come out a Dredd story.

AMS_Lance

I remember him from the Civil War Frontlines comics, but I had no idea who he was. Honestly thought he was like, a Marvel Polka Dot Man or a Mutant or something. Him being an originally serious character turned stupid joke is funny, though his trauma sort of reminds me of Nuke of all characters.

TATO

I only knew typeface for his appereance in civil war
