So, basically, her whole origin is custody battles, both real and fictional.(Originally posted on Youtube 9/13/25)

Waking up to sir superhero? Yeah, today’s gonna be a good day

Putting that business degree to good use I see

Really enjoyed the video. As to the editorial stuff I actually think it is necessary to discuss when it comes to comic book lore. I mean I love the lore more then people being weird but in comic books it is apart of the creative process wether we like it or not.

Really enjoy your relaxed academic style. I like how your vids always have a thesis statement so they are more than just a lore dump. For example a list of power ranger teams is kinda boring or a lore retro spective for a new video game character is something you can find every where. Having a comparison to most and least cop or the creative process behind the character that really stands out

mose.ish

I listen to your videos while I play rivals! Thanks for your hard work.

I joined your Patreon just to watch this early! I know you glossed over it because Good Grief It's Complex, but the Angela legal wrangling also ties into SO MUCH of key comics history. She's also just a really fascinating example of how writers who give a damn can reshape some...not-great initial ideas into compelling, even ground-breaking, works.

It’s extremely funny to me that they used the term Anchorite, an actual Christian concept, but connected it to Anchor. They are *not* related words, they just happened to be the same in English XD Unrelated question! What is the connection between Yggdrasil and the wider Marvel Cosmology?

TRGabrielGF

Wow, this one's absolutely perfectly on time, congratulations on that scheduling achievement.

Maybe in Marvel Rivals Angela is the daughter of Kenny Omega. That would explain her as a One Winged Angel.

This video saved me from crashing out at work today so thank you

I have a request since in a lot of your videos you’ll say that it’ll demonetize for a patron exclusive video. Can you dive into something more what I mean is something like mortal Hulk and show everything

CJ13

When I first joined the Patreon, I left a message saying that I’d love to hear about real-world influences on the stories of comics. And I have to say you have done an absolutely incredible job of that across many of these videos. Honestly everything about your videos is great, but I just wanted to show some specific appreciation for the quality you put out!

chuki.in.chucks

me too! Keep up the awesome work Sir_Superhero!

wasn't Hella a secret child of Odin too ? At this point, an asgard family tree wouldn't be a bad idea for a video...

Whited0g

i think that may be an mcu only thing. her role in the comic is kinda hand wavey at times, but she is described as a child of Loki mostly. The comics tend to be more accurate to the nordic religion than the movies.

Could you make A video on Lin Lie? The Marvel Rivals Iron Fist, I find him interesting because I guarantee you not a single person knew that this character existed, and that his origins are, kinda odd, he originated from a comic book series called sword master that looks like some Korean webcomic, but it's an officially published Marvel book. Also, I do like how Lin Lie became Iron Fist because it makes him a FRAUD, but the cool kind that does his damnedest to live up to the mantle. Which is actually a dead ass plot point in the Marvel Rivals story, and kinda what was the inciting incident for the entire season. And it's a decent segway since he adopted Laussa in Rivals

gwennie

hela yeah

Nothing for Nothing is so badass, Thinking of getting it as a tattoo.
