To Cinder, Beacon Academy felt less like a school and more like a fortress built to watch the horizon for incoming threats. From a distance, it had risen out of the cliffs above the city of Vale like a spear of pale stone and steel, cleaving apart the heavens.

One of these days, there should be a fic where the "delulu" lady is 100% right and Jaune actually is a mastermind and it's only revealed in the epilogue or something.

Oh man, just love the delulu's... Wish I knew more from an author as good as your writing is. Jaune "The Clueless" Arc being thought of as this great big bad secret spy is such a great storyline.

I already loved Honkers, so getting the Cinder version of that is great. I wonder if Neo will be smarter. I could see her playing along anyway just to mess with Cinder. Also, is this a Jaune/Cinder story, or is Emerald going to get involved as well?

I can see the imagination overdrive already. "Hmm, I see, he must be deliberately sabotaging his relationship with the Schnee because he figured out her father's treasonous deals! By positioning himself as the heiress' enemy even since school, he set himself up to reap the rewards of the Schnees' inevitable self-implosion..."

The author doesn't make steamy scenes nearly as good as Erised, or at all in some, but on Fanfiction.net there is an author named Coueralaran, he wrote "professor arc" and a few others that are pretty good on this premise. Professor Arc is a story about how his fake transcripts end up being TOO good and he gets hired as a teacher rather than a student and he has to pretend.

Oh yeah I read a ton of his stuff. I haven't gotten around to that one yet. Currently on "Xia" and "Remnant's Blonde Bard". Favorite was "Not this Time, Fate", but I like groundhog type stories a lot in general. Definitely wish he did more smut parts in his stories.
