Don't forget that Crocodile also wanted Pluton

O Farra

You didn’t like the fights?! I felt like the Alabasta had some of the best action in the whole series so far, with Thriller Bark being the best and Water 7/Enies Lobby being about on par, maybe a bit higher at the peaks. Luffy’s defeat was good but I think his final battle with Crocodile on the ruins was amazing, they got a ton of interesting uses out of Nami & Zala’s powers, and even the Sanji fight was very fun and well coreographed, seeing as how I usually don’t love Sanji’s action scenes. And that’s all without even mentioning the Usopp & Chopper duo battle, which is probably my favorite fight in the entire series thus far. Other stuff I do kind of get though, I was definitely a bit disappointed by the Alabasta arc when I first watched it. But i think the story still lands hard and going back to it there’s plenty to love in terms of character and theme
