basically in greek mythology, Calypso was banished to that island (ogygia) because she supported her father Atlas (who was a Titan) during the war between the gods and the titans. her punishment from Zeus was to live the rest of her life on this island, where she is basically kept from leaving by magic

Zeus in the mythos is the fucking worstttt. He basically will sleep with anyone who moves (wheather they are willing or not) and is just an overall jackass. That's actually why he's so mad at the end of the song "you dare to defy me to make me feel shame?" When Athena used Ody's fidelity as a winning point for him, she was calling shots at Zeus. Hera is the goddess of marriage but she is ALSO the wife of Zeus and is constantly cheated on.

For the Ithaca Saga, here are the animatics I personally recommend. The Challenge - Gwendy Hold Them Down - Orange Odysseus - Duvetbox I Can't Help But Wonder - Dray Would You Fall In Love With Me Again - Ximena Natzel

Woe, what are these? (WHAT ARE THOSE!) lol. These songs that were cut from the musical that people animated?

lili22

yes!! most of those are parts of cut songs from epic the musical that jorge released or first drafts that sound similar but have different lyrics/plot. it’s definitely interesting to see the different ways the story have taken, you definitely should react to these after u finish the ithaca saga!! the last song in the playlist is a bonus video that the voice actor of antinous sang and someone animated it. enjoy!!
