Him being Luffy's mom is kinda stupid since his actions would have shown it, but that theory of him being a women is funny as f and there's a bit of ground there lol

lol Croc's laugh in Japanese is even more goofier. I like that the dub made it less goofy lol.

A little bit more on Croco, since so far it's only explained by Oda in an interview and it's somewhat unlikely it will be explained in the manga. The reason he hates Whitebeard is that while he was still a rookie, he rose through the ranks quickly kinda like Luffy. He was feeling himself, challenged Whitebeard, got destroyed beyond belief and then he went to do his things in Alabasta. There's an awesome fanart of WB using Croco as a fishing hook.

Since no one answered this, I'm going to. not only does it cancel out devilfruit abilities. It also makes them weak, so even if they used it they'd be too weak to use it. It's like how being in the ocean paralyzes devilfruit users. Although one piece is crazy, so I don't know I could be wrong.
