You were right about Cinder being older, the huntsman academies are kind of like colleges where like, most people are younger, but older people can also enroll. Cinder could also probably pass for being younger than she is (I think it's been implied that she's in her 20s or something, butI could be wrong about that). I honestly love the board game scene because it's actually got some great world building in it, like mentioning that "Atlas is part of Mantle" and stuff about what Vacuo is like, things like that. The food fight, while also being iconic and hilarious, actually helped settle the debate of who would win in a fight (team RWBY or team JNPR) without having to put them in a situation that would influence the plot dramatically.

I think you would definitely get enjoyment out of reacting to the soundtracks! If nothing else, then to continue listening for alternate versions of the songs as the musical score. You seem to be good at that so far, and I think you'd like being able to recognize songs in future scenes. Plus, the songs are great to add to the storytelling, as they're mostly written from the point of view of different characters and can add to your understanding of them (and some foreshadow stuff for later). FlyntofRWBY used to be the go-to youtube channel for accurate lyric videos, but unfortunately they privated all their videos recently because of an issue with new youtube policies. I don't have a playlist at the moment, but I can share a list of all the songs in order by volume (with lengths) in case you'd like to find lyric videos yourself: VOLUME 1: This Will Be the Day (vol.1 op) (3:06) Red Like Roses (Red Trailer) (3:12) Mirror Mirror (White Trailer) (2:55) From Shadows (Black Trailer) (4:49) I Burn (Yellow Trailer) (5:31) Gold (4:02) I Burn (album version) (3:12) I May Fall (4:03) Red Like Roses Part II (4:02) Wings (vol.1 credits) (5:11) VOLUME 2: Time to Say Goodbye (vol.2 op) (3:24) Die (3:18) Shine (4:20) Dream Come True (4:12) Caffeine (3:09) All Our Days (4:37) Boop (3:25) Sacrifice (vol.2 credits) (4:00) VOLUME 3: When It Falls (vol.3 op) (3:26) I'm the One (3:42) It's My Turn (4:27) Not Fall in Love With You (3:50) Neon (2:55) Mirror Mirror Part II (3:59) Divide (vol.3 credits) (3:41) Cold (vol.3 credits) (3:26) VOLUME 4: Let's Just Live (vol.4 op) (4:58) Like Morning Follows Night (4:54) Bad Luck Charm (3:37) This Life is Mine (5:14) Home (5:32) Armed and Ready (vol.4 credits) (5:14) Lusus Naturae (4:24) Bmblb (3:20) VOLUME 5: The Triumph (vol.5 op) (4:14) Ignite (Yang Character Short song) (4:04) Path to Isolation (Weiss Character Short song) (3:59) Smile (Blake Character Short song) (4:01) All Things Must Die (4:33) This Time (vol.5 credits) (4:24) All That Matters (4:45) VOLUME 6: Rising (vol.6 op) (3:47) Miracle (4:10) One Thing (3:45) Lionize (Adam Character Short song) (3:40) Big Metal Shoe (2:46) Nevermore (vol.6 credits) (4:51) Indomitable (4:57) Forever Fall (5:23) VOLUME 7: Trust Love (vol.7 op) (3:50) Touch the Sky (5:01) Hero (4:09) Brand New Day (4:24) Let's Get Real (3:43) War (3:23) Celebrate (4:58) Until the End (4:29) Fear (vol.7 credits) (4:30) VOLUME 8: For Every Life (vol.8 op) (4:26) The Sky Is Falling (3:48) Be Strong and Hit Stuff (4:00) The Truth (0:52) Treasure (5:08) Friend (vol.8 credits) (5:00) Awake (5:39) VOLUME 9: Inside (vol.9 op) (3:39) Checkmate (3:39) Chatterbox (3:56) Worthy (4:02) Trapdoor (4:46) Quiet (4:48) Guide My Way (Red Like Roses Part III) (5:21) The Edge (vol.9 credits) (4:08)

The soundtrack isn't tracking too far off from the story, it's actually the opposite! All songs with vocals/lyrics are part of the story, and provide important clues to how the characters are feeling, what they are thinking, and their relationship between themselves. The ones without lyrics you don't have as much direct insights (though you can always catch a bit of info too if you are good analysing this kinda of stuff).

About how to split the episodes from now on, you can totally pair 2 episodes into 1 video most of the time. The exceptions being: volume's finales (they tend to be much longer), or when there is some character shorts you need to watch before starting a new volume (we will guide you through that when the time comes).
