I honestly love whenever Steven Universe tackles horror. It's by no means a horror show, but it'll have episodes here and there that, while the premise does still seem silly, the way it's portrayed makes it feel disturbing. I mean, cute cats popping up on your body sounds silly, but if that happened to me irl I would be terrified!! And yeah the soundtrack is so good and aids the eeriness of the car wash scene. There are future episodes that tackle horror elements that are more lore-driven and those tend to be even better. (side note: handling the occasional horror-driven episode exceedingly well is also something that RWBY does—I can't wait!)
