I don't think Ripley is a poorly written villain.... I think she's just a minor villain/instigator. She's meant to be annoying and a thorn in everyone's side. Of course, she's gotta make a bird sound! How else are we gonna know that she's a bird? Duh

Vax pinning ripley to the spot and vex slowly rising out of the water on the broken mast, surrounded by fire, bowstring already drawn and aimed, to kill ripley with Percy’s arrow may be the coolest thing I have ever seen. She did also kill the tree elf dude with Percy’s arrow, she said “my heart is someone else’s” and she shoved it in his heart and manually opened it

The chant “we are his blood” was what lady briarwood chanted when making her husband undead. And when trying to do her summoning spell at the end of s1. And the orb was what remained when the spell failed. They called it “the whispered one”. And there’s already been like 100 m9 references that you’d only know if you watched critical role lol

Not lying, but I thought the orb looked familiar from the end of season one, but I honestly had no idea so I stayed silent haha. Interesting. And damn haha, rip to me and the references.

My thought is that Thordak blew his wad creating the lava scar, making babies and tending to them. It takes a lot of juice to do all that. Plus he’s super ego and insane, he’s having with his enemies. He’s also bigger than any other ancient dragon his age because of marinating in the fire plane with the gem in his chest super powering him. At the end you can see the vestige Cabal’s Ruin, Ripleys’s cape, get pulled off of her as she gets hit by Vex’ arrow and later it sinks with the ship. Vex did stab Saundor the correupted Archfae in the tree with Percy’s arrowhead. She just collected it back and used it again. The significance of Vax shooting Raishan at the end means that Orthax claimed the soul and it will not be as free as a regular death for potential return.

There’s going to be talk about The Bard’s Lament being skipped/not done justice. I think it was reworked well for the show. You can look up cuts of it if you are interested. “We are his blood” was said by Delilah Briarwood and Xerzes the demon.
